HKSTP Career Fair 2026 Rallies Hong Kong to "Reimagine AI+"
(Hong Kong, 17 March 2026) – Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation (HKSTP) successfully concluded its "Reimagine AI+" Career Fair 2026 today, drawing an enthusiastic turnout of over 3,000 visits. Themed "Artificial Intelligence+" (AI+), the career fair actively aligns with the nation’s "AI+" initiative and brings together over 80 park companies and startups to drive "AI industrialisation". With more than 1,000 innovation and technology (I&T) job vacancies available across online and offline platforms, the event empowers global and local talent to seize I&T opportunities in Hong Kong and the Greater Bay Area.
Combining Skills with "AI+" to Drive True Innovation
The career fair focused on the deep integration of AI with industries, echoing the strategic direction set out in the national "15th Five-Year Plan" to advance the "AI+" initiative and reflect new trends in industrial integration and innovation-driven development. HKSTP emphasised that accelerating "AI+" development is, in essence, about driving a strategic transformation and upgrading of Hong Kong's pillar industries while catalysing the rapid growth of emerging sectors. Centred around the "industrialisation of AI", the event encouraged talent to combine their own skill sets with AI to supercharge innovation across diverse industries.
Mr Terry Wong, CEO of HKSTP, said: "Artificial intelligence is reshaping the global industrial landscape. With its unique strategic positioning under the National 15th Five-Year Plan and its role as a bridge connecting Mainland China with international markets, Hong Kong is well placed to drive the industrialisation of AI. HKSTP is committed to building a world-class I&T ecosystem, with talent as its core engine. Today's 'Reimagine AI+' Career Fair not only demonstrates the strong demand for AI talent among our park companies but also exemplifies our development philosophy of using talent to drive industry and industry to attract talent. We will continue to deepen our collaboration with industry and academic institutions, providing comprehensive support for talent development to accelerate Hong Kong's progress towards becoming an international I&T hub."
Four Strategic Industry Pillars with a Groundbreaking Interactive Recruitment
The on-site fair featured 50 company booths spanning four strategic industry pillars: Life and Health Technology, AI and Smart Technology, Advanced Manufacturing and Microelectronics, and Green Technology, showcasing the diverse and dynamic landscape of Hong Kong's I&T ecosystem.
A new highlight this year was the introduction of "Career Hack & Match", where participants engaged in interactive problem-solving workshops with founders from 20 startups. Attendees proposed potential solutions to address real-world business challenges faced by these startups.
By developing targeted, innovative proposals for their desired companies beforehand and presenting their ideas on-site, job seekers transformed the traditional passive job application process into a dynamic, hands-on challenge. The initiative not only broke the conventional framework of simply submitting resumes but also enabled participants to engage in meaningful dialogue with companies, bringing fresh, innovative perspectives to actual business challenges and creating a win-win outcome for both talent and enterprises.
Upgraded "HKSTP Talent Foundry 2.0" Empowers Job Seekers in Tech Transformation
To further expand the local I&T talent pool, HKSTP also announced the launch of the upgraded "HKSTP Talent Foundry 2.0" programme on the same day. The programme will extend its reach from primarily supporting local tertiary institution students to engaging a broader spectrum of young working professionals. By providing industry-relevant training, upskilling opportunities, technology insights, mentorship, and job matching, the initiative supports early-career professionals in their transformation journey and advancing within the I&T sector.
The enhanced programme aims to offer comprehensive support to I&T talent at various stages, helping them master the latest market trends, enhance their competitiveness, and build a more robust and diversified talent pipeline for Hong Kong's I&T ecosystem, contributing to the city's development into an international I&T hub.
The career fair also represents a key initiative by HKSTP to align with the HKSAR Government's talent strategy by serving as one of the key satellite events of the 'Global Talent Summit Week' organised by the Hong Kong Talent Engage Office.
