General Terms and Conditions

1. Quota: Quota applies to all event activities and gift redemption campaigns and will, where applicable, be carried out on a “first-come, first-served” basis while stocks last.
   
   
2. Participation: Participants/parents/guardians should read all relevant terms and conditions before participating in any activities/programmes/campaigns of Happy Hong Kong Bazaar @ Science Park (the “Event”).
   
   
3. Gifts: All gifts that are given out under the Event cannot be returned or exchanged for cash or for other gifts offered under the Event.
   
   
4. Registration: Unless otherwise stated by HKSTP, each registration for participation in any Event activity shall be for one (1) individual participant only.
   
   
5. Warranty: HKSTP does not make any warranty in respect of the Event and disclaims all liability in so far as permitted under the laws of the Hong Kong SAR.
   
   
6. Termination / Suspension: HKSTP has the full right and discretion to suspend, terminate, alter or cancel this Event or any of its programmes at any time without prior notice or compensation to any third party.
   
   
7. Personal Safety: Users should be responsible for their own personal and property safety; HKSTP will accept no claims whatsoever in connection with any accidents, injuries, or loss of valuables that are incurred directly or indirectly from attending the activities/programmes of the Event.
   
   
8. Video Footage and Still Images: You hereby consent and authorize HKSTP to use your video footage and any still images that are captured from your video footage solely for the promotion and marketing of HKSTP’s Happy Hong Kong event (including, without limitation, inclusion of your video footage or still image in any HKSTP print promotion-related materials and on various social media platforms, HKSTP hosted websites, HKSTP’s campus TV feeds, onsite TV feeds, Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn accounts). Any such usage by HKSTP shall not contain any of your personal data or information.
   
   
9. Relevant Terms: Each programme and activity that are organized by HKSTP as part of the Event shall be subject its own set of terms and conditions which shall constitute an integral part of these General Terms and Conditions. Participants who participate in any such activity or programme shall abide by all such terms and conditions.
   
   
10. Inclement Weather Arrangements: The activities may be changed or canceled due to unexpected factors such as weather or ad hoc events. If there are any such changes, there will be no separate notification. Please refer to the table below for information on arrangements under bad weather conditions.
    
    
11. Event Props and Decorations: Please do not damage or take away any props or decorations of the Event venue.
    
    
12. Instructions: Participants must follow the instructions of the Event staff and comply with the relevant rules and regulations of the Event activities and programmes when participating in them.
    
    
13. Public Safety: To protect public safety, Event staff reserves the right to refuse any person who behaves inappropriately (as determined by Event staff) from participating in any of the Event activities or programmes.
    
    
14. Terms and Conditions: You acknowledge and accept that HKSTP is at liberty to make any changes or adjustments to the rules and format of the Event from time to time without having to give any prior notice. In the event of any disputes arising out of this Event, HKSTP shall have the full and final say on all matters concerning this Event. In case of any discrepancy between the English and Chinese versions of these General Terms and Conditions, the English version shall prevail.
    
    
15. Governing law: These General Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Hong Kong SAR and any disputes arising out of or in connection with this declaration shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Hong Kong SAR.

Arrangements under Bad Weather Conditions

“Happy Hong Kong Meal” Gift Redemption Terms and Conditions

1. Redemption Period: The redemption period is from 10am on 4 August, 2023 to 6pm on 13 August, 2023 (both dates inclusive).
   
   
2. Redemption Details: Information & Redemption Counters are located at G/F, 8W and G/F, 12W. Customers shall present a valid “Happy Hong Kong Meal” receipt during the redemption period to redeem a gift.
   
   
3. Procedure: Each receipt is only eligible for one gift redemption which will be stamped with a 'redeemed' chop by the redemption counter staff to signify that the receipt has been redeemed by the customer. Each customer shall be eligible to redeem no more than 5 gifts on any given single occasion.
   
   
4. Quotas: Daily quotas apply for each gift, and redemption is on a first come, first served basis while stocks last.
   
   
5. General Terms: You acknowledge and accept that HKSTP is at liberty to make any changes or adjustments to the rules and format of this redemption event from time to time without having to give any prior notice. In the event of any disputes arising out of this redemption event, HKSTP shall have the full and final say on all matters concerning this event. 6. Governing law: These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Hong Kong SAR and any disputes arising out of or in connection with this declaration shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Hong Kong SAR.

 

“Shopping FUN” Terms and Conditions of Sales

1. Exchange Policy: All products purchased at “Shopping Fun” counters cannot be returned or exchanged with the exception of exchanges made for damaged or defective products. If your prod-uct is damaged or defective, please inform our staff at the “Shopping Fun” collection counter and our staff will assist you in getting in touch with the product supplier who shall be responsible for verifying whether your product is defective as well as to deter-mine whether you will be entitled to have the product replaced or repaired.
   
   
2. Product Availability and Limitations: All products available for sale at “Shopping Fun” are limited in supply. Hong Kong Sci-ence and Technology Parks Corporation (“HKSTP” or “we”) may have to limit the num-ber of products that each customer is permitted to buy per purchase.
   
   
3. Pickup / Delivery: All products shall be picked up at HKSTP’s collection counter during its opening hours on the date of purchase unless the product is clearly stated on its price tag as being an item that is only available for delivery after making an order, in which case HKSTP shall put the customer directly in touch with the product supplier and the product supplier shall arrange for its delivery within fourteen (14) days after the purchase is made.
   
   
4. Payment methods: We accept a variety of payment methods including

• Credit Cards/ Debit Cards (Visa/ Master)
• Octopus Card
• Alipay
• FPS
• HKSTP PAY (Only applicable to those customers who have completed the Palm Vein registration as the customer’s payment method)
• HKSTP App (QR code payment)

Note： Payment by cash is not accepted.

In the event of any disputes arising out of this “Shopping for Fun” event, HKSTP shall have the full and final say on all matters concerning this event. “Give Me Five” Terms and Conditions

1. Redemption Details: The 5% off incentive is only available at the “Shopping Fun” counters located at 10W and the redemption period is from 4 to 13 August, 2023 (inclusive).
   
   
2. Quota: Customers who have registered HKSTP Pay as the payment method are eligible for this promotion. quotas apply and all redemption is on a first come, first served basis.
   
   
3. Redemption Mechanism: To enjoy the 5% off incentive, eligible customers are required to complete the transaction using their registered HKSTP Pay.
   
   
4. Non-Exchangeable for Cash: This promotion cannot be exchanged for cash or other services or products. All redemptions are non-transferable.
   
   
5. Right to Amend: HKSTP reserves the right to change these terms and conditions at any time without giving any prior notice.
   
   
6. General Terms: In the event of any dispute, HKSTP reserves the right of final decision on all matters concerning this offer. In case of any discrepancy between the English and Chinese versions of these terms and conditions, the English version shall prevail.
   
   
7. Governing law: These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Hong Kong SAR and any disputes arising out of or in connection with this declaration shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Hong Kong SAR.

 

“Smile Spot” Terms and Conditions

1. Acceptance: You can only participate in this “Smile Spot” event (this “Event”) if you agree to these terms and conditions by clicking on the "I agree” button below. If you disagree, please click “I decline” to quit and you will no longer be eligible to participate in this Event.
   
   
2. Shooting Arrangement: The Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation (“HKSTP”) will shoot a video of your image using an Event-themed filter. HKSTP will not require you to provide any of your personal details (such as your name) for the purpose of producing this video. There will, however, be a time limit for the creation of each video so please follow the instructions given by our staff during your video shooting session.
   
   
3. Sharing on Facebook or Instagram: Once your video is completed, you will need to upload it onto your the Facebook or Instagram page to share with your friends and followers with the hashtag “#happyHKSTP” together with the Event caption provided by HKSTP so as to be eligible for a gift redemption (see Clause 4).
   
   
4. Gift Redemption: Once you have posed your video onto your Facebook or Instagram page with the “#happyHKSTP” hashtag and the relevant Event caption, you will be eligible for a gift redemption from HKSTP. Each shared video can only be used to redeem one gift from HKSTP. Daily quotas apply, and the gift redemption is on a first come, first served basis while stocks last.
   
   
5. Technical Issues: You acknowledge and accept that should there be any interruption or failure to completing your video shooting session and/or the uploading of your video or images onto Facebook or Instagram, regardless of whether such interruption and/or failure is due to reasons within or beyond the control of HKSTP (such as computer, network, telephone, technical, or other reasons) HKSTP will not be held liable or responsible to you in any way or manner whatsoever.
   
   
6. Video Footage and Still Images: You hereby consent and authorize HKSTP to use your video footage and still any still images that are captured from your video footage solely for the promotion and marketing of HKSTP’s Happy Hong Kong event (including, without limitation, inclusion of your video footage or still image in any HKSTP print promotion-related materials and on various social media platforms, HKSTP hosted websites, HKSTP’s campus TV feeds, onsite TV feeds, Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn accounts). 7. Non Collection of Personal Data: HKSTP will only create a video footage of you that will capture your appearance. You will not be required by HKSTP to provide any of your personal information or details to HKSTP for your participation in this Event.
   
   
8. Storage of Still Images and Video Footage: All videos and still images of you that are generated from this Event will be deleted by HKSTP within 3 weeks after the conclusion of this Event.
   
   
9. General Terms: You acknowledge and accept that HKSTP is at liberty to make any changes or adjustments to the rules and format of the Event from time to time without having to give any prior notice. In the event of any disputes arising out of this Event, HKSTP shall have the full and final say on all matters concerning this Event. “LOL Booster” Terms and Conditions

1. Laughter Collection: You hereby consent and authorize Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation (“HKSTP”) to use the audio recording of your laughter (your “Soundtrack”) for the sole purpose of promoting and marketing HKSTP’s Happy Hong Kong event including, without limitation, the inclusion and incorporation of your Soundtrack as part of any music composition commissioned by HKSTP, whether in whole or in part, with or without any remixing, processing and/or voice augmentation, in isolation or combined with the laughter sounds of other participants of this event, and to have the same uploaded and made available on various social media platforms, HKSTP hosted websites, HKSTP’s campus TV feeds, onsite TV feeds, Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn accounts. Any such usage by HKSTP shall not contain any of your personal data or information.
   
   
2. Non Collection of Personal Data: HKSTP will only commission music compositions that will incorporate your Soundtrack and such use shall not, under any circumstances, involve the collection of any of your personal data or directly or indirectly reveal any data, information and/or details that would reveal your identity or any of your other personal data.
   
   
3. Storage of Laughter: Your Soundtrack will be deleted by HKSTP within three (3) weeks after the conclusion of this Event.
   
   
4. General Terms: You acknowledge and accept that HKSTP is at liberty to make any changes or adjustments to the rules and format of this Event from time to time without having to give any prior notice. In the event of any disputes arising out of this Event, HKSTP shall have the full and final say on all matters concerning this Event. In case of any discrepancy between the English and Chinese versions of these Terms and Conditions, the English version shall prevail.
   
   
5. Governing law: These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Hong Kong SAR and any disputes arising out of or in connection with this Event shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Hong Kong SAR.

 

“Bouncy Golden Egg” Terms and Conditions

1. Age Allowed: For safety reasons, participants must be children aged 3 to 11 and are of a height between 90 cm and 150 cm.
   
   
2. Time Allowed and Maximum Capacity: Each session of play for the Bouncy Golden Egg shall be for ten (10) minutes and each session can accommodate up to no more than 10 participants (depending on the size and height of each batch of children).
   
   
3. No Food and Drinks: For the sake of safety and hygiene, no consumption and carrying of food (including chewing gum) and/or drinks are allowed inside the perimeters of and on the Bouncy Golden Egg.
   
   
4. Entry Conditions: Before entering the Bouncy Golden Egg, all shoes, badges and jewelry (such as large earrings and necklaces) any sharp objects must be removed from all participating children to prevent damaging the Bouncy Golden Egg and any related equipment as well as to avoid the risk of injuring the child to whom such items belong and of other participating children.
   
   
5. Apparel: For hygiene reasons, socks must be worn by all participating children when entering the Bouncy Golden Egg area and when playing on the Bouncy Golden Egg itself. Participating children must wear their own socks and comfortable clothing. Parents/Guardians should ensure that their children should avoid wearing any clothing that, when playing on the Bouncy Golden Egg, may easily come off or become too revealing or may become a choking hazard.
   
   
6. Health Warning: Parents/Guardians with children who are suffering from any injuries, skin diseases, illness, fever, heart condition, neck or spinal problems MUST refrain from letting their children play on the Bouncy Golden Egg and shall be solely responsible for the safety and well-being of their children if they fail to heed to this warning. Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation (“HKSTP”), the organizer of the Bouncy Golden Egg, reserves the right to refuse the entry of any children to play in/on the Bouncy Golden Egg on the grounds of safety for the child concerned and/or for the safety of other participating children if HKSTP becomes aware of any of the aforesaid conditions affecting any of the participating children.
   
   
7. No Running: To avoid danger, parents/guardians must ensure that their participating children refrain from running inside the Bouncy Golden Egg.
   
   
8. Parental/Guardian Supervision: Parents/guardians must supervise their children at all times when their children are participating in this event and shall ensure that their children follow the instructions of HKSTP staff, otherwise, they may be asked to refrain from playing on the Bouncy Golden Egg.
   
   
9. Exclusion of Liability: HKSTP will not be responsible for any injuries sustained or losses incurred by anyone participating in this Bouncy Golden Egg event where such losses or injuries are due to reason(s) that is/are not attributable to the inherent safety of the Bouncy Golden Egg itself or are due to any failure on the part of parents/guardians/participating children to fully heed to or comply with these terms and conditions.
   
   
10. General Terms and Conditions: You acknowledge and accept that HKSTP is at liberty to make any changes or adjustments to the rules and format of this event from time to time without having to give any prior notice. In the event of any disputes arising out of this event. HKSTP shall have the full and final say on all matters concerning this Event. “Workshop” Terms and Conditions

Welcome to the Action Fun Workshops (“Workshops”) organized by the Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation (“HKSTP”) which will be held from 4th to 13th August 2023.

Please read below terms and conditions (“Terms”) carefully and only proceed to participate in any Workshops if all the Terms are agreed.

Eligibility and Registration

1. All participant of any Workshops (“Participants”) are required to register before participating in any Workshops.
   
   
2. The Workshops are at a first come first serve basis and registration to the Workshops will be closed when seats are filled. Unless otherwise specified, each Workshop has a limit of 20 seats.
   
   
3. Participants under the age of 12 must be accompanied by their respective Parents/Guardians.
   
   
4. By registering for any Workshops, such Participants and their Parents/Guardians (where applicable) are deemed to have agreed with the Terms. You shall not proceed to register with and/or participate in any of the Workshops if you do not fully agree with the Terms.
   
   
5. For the avoidance of doubt, all Parents/Guardians accompanying Participants under the age of 12 will be considered as Participants and are deemed to have agreed with the Terms.

Limitations of Liability and Release

6. HKSTP, its respective affiliates, divisions, subsidiaries, and all of their respective officers, directors, employees, contractors, representatives and agents (collectively the “Released Parties”) will have no liability whatsoever for, and will be released and held harmless by any Participants and/or Parents/Guardians for any claims, liabilities, or causes of action of any kind or nature for any injury, loss or damages of any kind including direct, indirect, incidental, consequential or punitive damages to persons. Without prejudice to the generality of the foregoing, all matters in connection with the Workshops are provided “as is” without warranty of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to, the implied warranties and merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
   
   
7. HKSTP shall not be responsible for any damages or losses of personal items/belongings of any Participants.

Participants’ Relationship with HKSTP

8. While the Workshops will be held within venues provided by HKSTP; however, activities of the Workshops are provided by the respective providers (“Providers”). Without prejudice to the generality of other provisions of the Terms, all Participants and their respective Parents/Guardians agree that Providers shall be fully responsible for the activities of the workshops. 

Safety

9. In addition to the Terms, HKSTP and/or the Providers may impose additional safety rules in the Workshops (“Safety Rules”). All Participants are required to comply with all Terms and Safety Rules while participating in the Workshops.
   
   
10. All Participants should consider the activities of the Workshops carefully and any Participants should not participate or stop participating immediately when such Participants have concern or appear that participation in any of the Workshops will cause or is causing any health issues. Without prejudice to the generality of other provisions of the Terms, HKSTP shall not be responsible for any damages related to the said health issues.
    
    
11. All Participants are advised to wear appropriate clothing and protective gears. For the avoidance of doubt, protective gears will not be provided in the Workshops.
    
    

Warranties, Representations and Agreements

12. Each Participant and his/her Parent/Guardian (where applicable) represent, warrant, acknowledge and/or agree the followings :

1. All information provided in the registration and other information in relation to the Workshops are complete, accurate and truthful;
   
   
2. There are no known health issues which may be unsafe for any of the Workshops;
   
   
3. Acknowledge and agree that the HKSTP may use each Participant’s likeness (including but not limited to photos and videos recorded in the Workshops or during activities related to Workshops) without need of (1) obtaining consent from any Participant and/or Parent/Guardian (where applicable); and (2) providing any additional compensation to any Participants and/or Parents/Guardians (where applicable). For the avoidance of doubt, any intellectual property rights of the said photos and videos shall belong to HKSTP solely;
   
   
4. Acknowledge and agree that in addition to the Terms, the privacy policy of HKSTP (“Privacy Policy”) is also applicable to the Workshops. Generally, HKSTP will use all Personal Data (as defined in the Privacy Policy) for the purposes of (1) registration and enrolments of the Workshops; and (2) identifying the Participants;

 

General Rules

13. HKSTP reserves the right to cancel or make changes to any Workshops. Should there be cancellations or changes, announcements will be made on event website.In the event that any Workshops is cancelled for whatever reason, HKSTP will not incur any liability towards any persons arising from such cancellation.
    
    
14. Terms shall include all amendments made by HKSTP from time to time and HKSTP reserves the right to amend any of the Terms in its absolute discretion without notice.
    
    
15. All Participants attending the Workshops are responsible for their own personal property and HKSTP will not be liable for any loss or damage to any personal property.
    
    
16. If any provision contained in the Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable by any court, the invalid or unenforceable provision shall be severed or amended in such a manner as to render the rest of the provision(s) and remainder of the Terms shall remain valid and enforceable.
    
    
17. The Terms shall be interpreted and construed in accordance with the laws and regulations of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the People’s Republic of China and any disputes shall be subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Hong Kong.
    
    
18. The Terms are not intended to be enforceable pursuant to the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Ordinance (Cap. 623 of the laws of Hong Kong).
