(Hong Kong, 19 June 2023) – Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation (HKSTP) today announced the appointment of Ir Dr H.L. Yiu as Chief Corporate Development Officer, succeeding Mr Eugene Hsia at the end of his contract term.
Dr Yiu joined HKSTP in 2007 and has since served in various leadership roles. He demonstrated his leadership capability and passion for Innovation and Technology (I&T) during his most recent role as the Head of Innofacturing. Dr Yiu spearheaded the transformation of three Industrial Estates to InnoParks and drove the New Industrialisation initiatives in alignment with the direction of the Hong Kong government.
Welcoming the appointment, Mr Albert Wong, CEO of HKSTP, said, “With Dr Yiu’s extensive technology background from within the innovation sector and his extensive experience in working closely with our management teams, I’m confident that Dr Yiu is the best candidate to execute our strategy of building a vibrant ecosystem and to further strengthen Hong Kong’s role as an international I&T hub.”

As Chief Corporate Development Officer, Dr Yiu will lead HKSTP's Technology and Industry Clusters, Incubation, Strategic Partnerships, Platforms, Innofacturing, and drive the development of a sustainable and thriving ecosystem.
HKSTP commenced the recruitment process for the position in accordance with established practices. Following a careful and thorough assessment of external and internal candidates, HKSTP has confirmed the appointment of Ir Dr H.L. Yiu and will take assume the position from 19 June 2023.
