(Hong Kong, 20 October 2025) – The annual flagship innovation and technology (I&T) event “InnoCarnival 2025” recently kicked off at Hong Kong Science Park. As the campaign partner, Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation (HKSTP) has set up a dedicated “Innofacturing Tomorrow” Pavilion, which attracted over 20,000 visitors in the first two days. Highlights include the debut of a naked-eye 3D video and exhibits from 19 Park companies spanning advanced food manufacturing, robotics, automation and green technologies. With Interactive gaming experiences and product displays, the Pavilion has drawn large crowds to engage firsthand with the achievements of Hong Kong’s new industrialisation.
Breakthrough Visual Experience: Naked-Eye 3D Brings Smart Manufacturing to Life
Highlights of this year’s Pavilion include the giant naked-eye 3D video “The Future in 3D”, using spectacular visual effects to vividly presents smart manufacturing processes within the three InnoParks in Tai Po, Yuen Long and Tseung Kwan O. Visitors can enjoy an immersive smart factory journey without wearing any devices. The area also includes two interactive games where participants can master a virtual robotic arm to build circuit boards and engage in a motion-sensing game that challenges both speed and precision.
Partnering with Hong Kong Brands: Demonstrating Local Manufacturing Strength
The HKSTP Pavilion features a “Made in Hong Kong” brand showcase, bringing together well-known local names including CATALO, Fortune Pharmacal, HKTVmall, Kee Wah Bakery, Lee Kum Kee, Nestlé Hong Kong, Pat Chun, Vita Green, Watsons and Yakult. The showcase highlights how enterprises blend innovation with traditional strengths, demonstrating the significant value and competitiveness of “Hong Kong Innovation, Design and Manufacturing” through real-world examples.
Three InnoParks Underscore a Thriving I&T Ecosystem
In recent years, HKSTP has repositioned the three industrial estates in Tai Po, Yuen Long and Tseung Kwan O as “InnoParks”. In a move that aligns with the latest Policy Address, this repositioning leverages I&T to facilitate the transformation and upgrading of traditional industries, supporting the government's vision for new industrialisation. The InnoParks are actively attracting high-end manufacturing, biotechnology and other sectors to inject sustained momentum into Hong Kong’s economy and build a more competitive ecosystem. This exhibition not only showcases Hong Kong’s I&T strengths, but also serves as a key platform connecting industries, scientific research and the community. Through diverse interactive experiences, people from all walks of life can deepen their understanding of I&T and collectively advance Hong Kong’s goal of becoming an international I&T hub.
InnoCarnival is the annual flagship event of the Innovation and Technology Commission, aimed at promoting science education. This year's theme is "I&T Unlocks Your Dream." In collaboration with over 50 participating organisations, the carnival features exhibitions of local inventions and research achievements, workshops, and interactive games to promote I&T culture among the public. During the event, the Science Park will transform into a hub of technology, shopping, cuisine, and education, welcoming all citizens to visit and engage.
