A world-renowned neuroscientist, Prof. Nancy Ip has contributed to understanding the mechanisms underlying brain development and synaptic plasticity dysregulation in neurological disorders. Her research team has particularly made outstanding progress in better understanding Alzheimer’s disease. Responding to the call for improved diagnostics and therapeutics to manage this disease, they have established advanced biomarker discovery platforms, identified blood-based biomarkers, and created an innovative artificial intelligence-based scoring system that enables accurate risk prediction, early detection, and classification of the disease. Nancy is driven to make discoveries that push the boundaries of knowledge and lead to new technologies and applications.
