Li Linxian is the Founder of Innorna, a biotech company that has developed a lipid nanoparticle (LNP) technology for rapidly and accurately delivering mRNA into cells. Faced with the challenge of delivering mRNA into the correct cell, mRNA carriers have long been unable to maximise mRNA as a therapeutic tool capable of guiding cells to generate disease-fighting proteins. Using his 10 years of biotech experience, along with his passion to use technology to ease patients’ pain, Li and his team were able to develop the LNP platform for safely and effectively delivering the mRNA into the right cells and commercialise this innovation to serve the wider society, presenting a revolutionary step toward expanding the clinical application of mRNA.
