The recent, rapid advancements in ChatGPT and related AI technologies have captured the world’s attention. This talk gives an overview of Generative AI, the field to which ChatGPT belongs, where the AI technologies can generate new content. We will also cover Conversational AI, which can interact with humans using natural language; Natural Language Processing (NLP), which can analyse and generate natural language for various applications; and issues related to ethics and safety in the development and development of these technologies. Finally, we will explore how these technologies will impact the future of work, both in terms of risks and opportunities.
