Statement from HKSTP on SUNeVision’s response to follow-up action on Court of Appeal ruling
The judicial review proceedings arising out of complaints of SUNeVision Holdings Ltd (SeV) concluded at the end of last year. The court did not rule on whether subletting had been committed by any data centre operators, though HKSTP has been directed to reconsider SeV’s complaints made in 2018 in accordance with the court’s judgment.
HKSTP adopts an active and rigorous approach to reviewing all complaint cases and assesses whether the operations of lessees at InnoParks comply with the relevant lease terms through conducting regular inspections. Where breaches of lease are confirmed, appropriate enforcement actions would be taken strictly in accordance with the lease terms.
In 2021, we repositioned three industrial estates in Tai Po, Yuen Long and Tseung Kwan O as InnoParks. This initiative supports the Hong Kong Government's drive for new industrialisation, bolstering Hong Kong's competitiveness as a leading international innovation and technology hub.
