HKSTP Delegation to Beijing: Strengthening Innovation Ties
HKSTP led a delegation to Beijing in May 2025, engaging with local I&T companies, industry groups, and top universities to strengthen ties between the innovation scenes in Beijing and Hong Kong. We visited Peking University and Tsinghua University to explore collaboration in talent development and startup cultivation.
Through sharing sessions, HKSTP connected with nearly 200 students, highlighting Hong Kong’s startup ecosystem and encouraging them to pursue careers and entrepreneurial opportunities in the city.Bridging Hong Kong with Global Tech Talents at Oxford and Cambridge
As part of the 2025 March European tour, the HKSTP delegation visited top UK universities, including Imperial College London, Oxford, and Cambridge, to explore collaboration in talent development and startup incubation. We engaged with over 300 local students through sharing sessions, introducing internship and career opportunities, and encouraging them to return to Hong Kong for work or entrepreneurship.
In London, HKSTP co-hosted a seminar with HKETO-London and InvestHK, attracting nearly 100 attendees focused on investment and collaboration in Hong Kong’s dynamic I&T ecosystem.Connecting US and Hong Kong Tech Talents and Communities
HKSTP’s highly successful Talent Ignite US West Coast Tour in January 2024 was an opportunity to connect with over 10,000 US tech innovators and enterprises to showcase the booming opportunities in Asia.
We engaged in talent discussions with Stanford University and UC Berkeley representatives, met with over 40 industry giants and held dinner talks with around 150 local tech pros. The Hong Kong Tech pavilion at CES 2024, the most powerful tech event in the world, generated an impressive number of around 40+ business leads.
Talent Game On 2K23 Winners Visit Silicon Valley
In October 2023, the six winners of ‘Talent Game On 2K23’ embarked on a five-day immersive visit to Silicon Valley. They toured industry leaders like NVIDIA and AMD, as well as tech giants Google and Apple.
The experience included networking events and sharing sessions with professors, students, and entrepreneurs at Stanford University School of Engineering, alongside meetings with senior executives from Microsoft and Plug and Play Tech Center. This journey inspired these young talents to explore endless possibilities in the I&T industry.
Connecting Young SE Asia Talents to HK-GBA-China Opportunities
In May 2023, we visited Singapore and Malaysia to connect with upcoming young talents and enterprises, and to showcase fast-growing Hong Kong-Greater Bay Area-China market opportunities.
Our Tech Talent Ignite networking events brought together local tech talents and Hong Kong Science Park entrepreneurs. About 150+ top talents were very keen about HKSTP’s careers and growth opportunities.
