HKSTP Welcomes Government Appointments to the Board of Directors

(Hong Kong, 20 June 2025) — Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation (HKSTP) welcomes the HKSAR Government’s appointments of a new member to its Board of Directors and the reappointment of five incumbent members for a period of two years from 1 July 2025.

We are pleased to welcome the appointment of The Honourable Duncan Chiu, member of the Legislative Council, as the new addition to the Board of Directors. Ms Jennifer Chan, Mr Eugene Chan, Ir Hon Chi-keung, The Honourable Elizabeth Quat, member of the Legislative Council and Dr Philip Zhai will continue their tenures on the Board. We are also immensely grateful to the outgoing member, Ms Angel Ng, for her extensive efforts and counsel in advancing the development of HKSTP during her tenure.

Dr Sunny Chai, Chairman of HKSTP, said, “Hong Kong’s innovation and technology (I&T) ecosystem continues to thrive through the efforts of the Board and the management team of HKSTP. We warmly welcome the appointment of new Board members and the reappointment of existing ones. I am confident that all Board members will work together to help advance Hong Kong’s I&T development to new heights.”

With the Board's comprehensive experience and industry knowledge, HKSTP will remain committed to fully supporting I&T enterprises. This commitment includes nurturing and attracting local and international talent, fostering the translation of research and development, leverage investors and corporate partner network for fundraising, and expanding into international markets. HKSTP will proactively contribute to the realisation of the Hong Kong Innovation and Technology Development Blueprint in order to integrate into the national development strategy, thereby solidifying the city's position as an international hub for I&T.
