(Hong Kong, 30 May 2025) — Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation (HKSTP) successfully hosted its first microelectronics-themed career day, “Micro-E in Action”, drawing over 2,000 enthusiastic job seekers through a hybrid online-offline format. Leveraging the online platform “Talent Pool” alongside the physical venue, the event facilitated efficient job matching for candidates.
More than 30 leading microelectronics companies from the Science Park participated, offering over 300 job opportunities spanning the entire industry chain, including R&D, design, and manufacturing roles. By connecting top talent with industry leaders, the event reinforced Hong Kong’s position as a world-class hub for microelectronics innovation and talent development while empowering the next generation of I&T professionals with insights into the latest industry trends.

“Micro-E in Action” Career Day received strong support from key players in the industry, with on-site recruitment booths where job seekers could engage with companies to learn about job requirements and submit applications on the spot.
In addition, the Career Day featured a dedicated industry forum and a series of interactive workshops. These sessions not only provided participants with in-depth insights into the latest trends, career prospects, and entry pathways in Hong Kong and the Greater Bay Area's microelectronics industry but also focused on hot topics like job search strategies, workplace collaboration, and AI-powered resume optimisation. The event was designed to enhance participants' competitiveness and unlock greater career opportunities.

Attracting Local and Global Talent to Build Tomorrow’s Tech Workforce
Building on this event's success, HKSTP will host a virtual career fair in June focused on the microelectronics industry, further strengthening its efforts to attract international tech talent. For local talent development, HKSTP recently announced the 'Talent Foundry' programme for Hong Kong university students. This initiative aims to enhance talent cultivation through close collaboration between industry partners and local universities, gathering innovation and technology (I&T) resources. The programme is now ready for students to join, targeting engineering, computer science and related majors graduating this year or next. Designed to provide continuous engagement activities for soon-to-graduate students and talent pipeline for park companies, it helps young professionals seamlessly transition into the I&T sector.
