(Hong Kong, 28 May 2025) — The Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation (HKSTP) is fully committed to fostering local innovation and technology (I&T) development. HKSTP has partnered with ADVANTAGE AUSTRIA, a global I&T ecosystem partner, to help Hong Kong tech companies expand into the European market. Recently, six startups from HKSTP attended the renowned GO AUSTRIA Spring 2025 and the annual ViennaUP Festival in Austria. During this intensive two-week exploration journey, park companies established collaboration agreements with local companies and successfully expanded their footprints within Europe. The initiative fully demonstrated Hong Kong’s I&T strengths while promoting I&T exchange between the two regions.
Reunite Limited, which develops 3D production and Web3 technologies in-house, participated in GO AUSTRIA for the first time. It successfully established a partnership with local art tech company. Reunite will integrate its 3D modules into their products, enhancing artistic presentations through 3D and augmented reality (AR) while strengthening immersive art appreciation experiences.
Kam Cheung, Co-founder and CEO of Reunite Limited, said, “Thanks to GO AUSTRIA’s extensive alumni network, we were able to establish our first partnership in Austria and Europe within days of our arrival. We are confident that by working together, we will develop more 3D solutions that significantly elevate the public art appreciation experience.” The collaborating company is an Austrian art tech company and its technology has been adopted by museums, exhibitions, galleries and other art institutions across more than 190 countries. The company will leverage Reunite’s sales network in Asia to promote their jointly developed 3D art solutions in Hong Kong, mainland China, Southeast Asia and other regions.

This park company develops real-time 3D and robotics technologies and provides rapid, high-precision 3D reconstruction services for building models in the construction industry. According to Dr Shu Junyuan, CMO of Manifold Tech, “This programme provides support in various aspects, including business guidance, market insights and business networking, which are essential for startups just entering the European market.”
HKSTP’s commitment is to building a broader international I&T ecosystem, to helping tech companies expand internationally. Derek Chim, Head of Startup Ecosystem and Development of HKSTP, said, “The GO AUSTRIA programme is a smart and strategic move for innovators eyeing the European market. It helps startups fast-track their growth on the continent by providing access to funding, expert mentorship and critical market connections. Approximately 20 incubatees and graduates of HKSTP’s Incubation Programme have participated in the “GO AUSTRIA” programme since 2017. The initiative is a proven launchpad for startups with a validated product-market fit and those who are ready to expand their businesses to the world.”
He added, “Back in 2023, E3A Healthcare participated in the GO AUSTRIA Fall programme and secured a €1 million R&D grant. The company also established a partnership with Saphenus Medical Technology, a Vienna-based leader in medical device innovation, to jointly develop next-generation medical devices. This strategic collaboration accelerated the regulatory approval process, allowing E3A Healthcare’s existing product lines to enter the European market more quickly. Moreover, the extensive European networks of the Austrian Federal Chamber of Commerce and Saphenus improved E3A Healthcare’s brand recognition and market share. These success stories further demonstrate the effectiveness of HKSTP’s collaboration with overseas ecosystem partners in driving startup success and delivering a meaningful global impact. We look forward to seeing more startups co-creating positive results with counterparts in overseas ecosystems which will benefit the world.”
