(Hong Kong, 20 November 2025) – Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation (HKSTP) is co-organising the Gerontech and Innovation Expo cum Summit (GIES 2025) from 20–23 November, leading 45 Park companies and startups to present the event’s largest themed pavilion (HKSTP Pavilion: B401). Under the theme “Silver Living: Connected. Thriving. Powered by I&T”, the HKSTP Pavilion brings gerontech to life through three immersive daily-life scenarios—Ageing in Place, Day Care Training and Rehabilitation Hub, and Carnival— alongside a Tech Showcase Zone featuring the latest products and R&D, for a total of nearly 50 gerontech innovations. During the exhibition, HKSTP welcomed close to 100 delegations from government departments, social welfare organisations, and eldercare and long-term care institutions. The pavilion facilitated active business discussions between industry stakeholders and Park tech companies, underscoring the tangible impact and real-world application potential of I&T innovations.
Gerontech as a Dual Engine for Social Impact and Growth

Immersive Zones Bring Gerontech into Everyday Senior Living
The HKSTP Pavilion showcases solutions spanning speech therapy, health management, rehabilitation training, artificial intelligence, robotics and automation, cognitive care and assistive technology. Visitors can experience how technology integrates into daily life across the three immersive zones and the debut of two new speech therapy solutions: the Ageing in Place showcases home safety monitoring, remote health management, fall detection; Day Care Training and Rehabilitation Hub offers hands-on experience of water rehabilitation, AI motion analysis and bathing aids; the Carnival demonstrates gamified cognitive training, social engagement and accessible mobility. The Tech Showcase Zone concentrates the latest prototypes and ready-to-deploy products.
Silver Summit Explores Silver Economy Opportunities
The Silver Summit, held on 21 November, brought together industry leaders, experts, and academics to explore new opportunities in the gerontech ecosystem. The summit focused on building a vibrant silver economy through collaboration at the local, Greater Bay Area, and international levels. HKSTP played a crucial role in driving innovation, fostering cross-sector partnerships, and expanding the scale of gerontechnology solutions. It supported technology companies across the entire value chain and leveraged the development opportunities presented by the Northern Metropolis development.
Beyond multiple open-stage sharing sessions at the pavilion, HKSTP will also take part in the “Silver Summit”, connecting government, social service organisations, academia and industry partners to accelerate standardisation, accessibility and scale-up of gerontech through cross-sector collaboration.

AI and Digital Health Innovations
- VET (健聲科技有限公司): Specialising in customized AI speech reconstruction solutions designed to enhance the efficiency of speech therapy services. By integrating artificial intelligence and acoustic engineering, their core product helps speech therapists deliver personalized therapy plans, significantly improving communication ability and quality of life for patients with aphasia and speech disorders.
- UP Innovations (星匯創新有限公司): Known for developing gamified speech therapy training modules, UP Innovations combines speech therapy, occupational therapy, and academic support for special educational needs (SEN). Robotics, Cognitive Care and Assistive Technologies
- Dex-Lab (德瑞私人有限公司): Focused on designing intelligent companion robots focused on daily care for patients with cognitive impairments and simulating repetitive tasks in cognitive care environments. Equipped with advanced sensors and interactive functions, their robots provide emotional engagement and daily assistance to patients. Dex-Lab’s robotic applications adhere to principles of assistive technology and smart health development, emphasising human-robot interaction and emotional care, promoting cognitive health and alleviating caregiver burden.
Smart Textiles, Nutrition and Everyday Quality of Life
- Fung Fat (逢發織造有限公司): Focuses on eco-friendly knitted thermal technology. Its products integrate intelligent thermal weaving technology, silver fiber, and recycled fibers as sustainable materials, utilizing efficient heat conduction technology to achieve targeted warmth—reaching optimal temperature within just 30 seconds. The company’s products were showcased at Fashion World Tokyo 2024 and earned international acclaim for their innovation, actively expanding in the Asia-Pacific silver economy market and promoting textile technology that excels in both sustainability and functionality.
- Carewells (華瓏有限公司): Specialises in developing safe and effective rehabilitation and soft diet solutions tailored for elderly individuals with swallowing difficulties. By strictly adhering to food safety standards and optimising nutritional profiles, Carewells enhances the dietary safety and convenience for seniors. Their products are widely adopted in medical institutions and elderly care communities, earning multiple industry awards for their quality.
Rehabilitation and Mobility
- Asia Pacific Hydrotherapy (亞太水治療康復研究中心有限公司): An enterprise integrating R&D, design, manufacturing, and sales, focusing on aquatic physical therapy and functional rehabilitation. The centre specialises in designing aquatic rehabilitation models specifically for people with physical disabilities, providing tailored hydrotherapy solutions for various rehabilitation needs. Its services cover multiple rehabilitation fields, effectively improving patient mobility and pain management for a more efficient recovery process.
