Abstract
Organised by Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation, Robocon 2025 Hong Kong Contest continues unite strong alliances to grow and promote Hong Kong’s next generation of skilled engineering, AI and robotics talents. In collaboration with the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers, the Hong Kong Computer Society, and Radio Television Hong Kong, Robocon Hong Kong 2025 will be held at Grand Hall, Hong Kong Science Park on Sunday, 22 June 2025.
Each year, regional champions compete at the international finale to win ABU Robocon Grand Prix. Theme of 2025 is “Robot Basketball” and the finals will be held in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia in August 2025. Game inspired from basketball culture of Mongolia. We are proud to have Hong Kong’s top institutes participating in Robocon HK’s contest, including CityUHK, CUHK, EdUHK, HKBU, HKPU. HKU, HKUST and IVE (TY) – Another year of intense competition and fascinating robot designs to look forward to. With increasing support from academic departments and industry partners, Team Hong Kong has continuously performed eye-opening breakthroughs, winning ABU Grand Prix Champion twice in the last few years. Looking ahead, we are also pleased to announce that Hong Kong will be the Host region for ABU Robocon 2026.
