Since its launch in 2018, the annual World Artificial Intelligence Conference (WAIC) has been a premier global platform for AI innovation, collaboration, and governance. Building on its success in Shanghai, WAIC is now expanding globally under the new brand "WAIC UP! Global Summit", with Hong Kong selected as its first stop in 2026. The debut summit is expected to welcome around 1,000 attendees for a full-day programme featuring keynotes and panel discussions by prominent global speakers, alongside cutting-edge tech showcases.
Centered on the call to “WAKE UP MORE!”, the summit aims to break through conventional conference formats and bring together bold ideas from around the world. With a focus on technological breakthroughs, the evolution of civilization, and visions for the future, it will spark pioneering, non-consensus thinking and foster in-depth dialogue to collectively define the key pathways for AI in the coming decade.
As the exclusive Strategic Partner of the event, our Chairman, Dr Sunny Chai, SBS, BBS, JP, will deliver remarks at the Opening Ceremony. In addition, we will lead three Park companies to showcase their promising solutions in AI & robotics.
During an afternoon panel session, Prof Hongbin Liu, Director of the Centre for Artificial Intelligence and Robotics, Hong Kong Institute of Science & Innovation, Chinese Academy of Sciences, will share insights on commercialisation.
