Company

The company is led by Director Shilin Hou, who is currently a PhD candidate in Applied Physics at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, focusing on the development of row-column-addressed-array ultrasonic probes. Other shareholders include Professor Jiyan Dai, a Professor in the Department of Applied Physics at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. Professor Dai is an expert in the field of ferroelectric materials and has over 20 years of experience in the research and development of medical ultrasonic transducers.

Description

Our company specialises in the research, development, and sales of ultrasonic transducers, with applications spanning both medical and industrial fields. We employ unique manufacturing techniques to produce ultrasonic transducers designed for three-dimensional imaging. These advanced transducers enable functionalities such as 3D transcranial vascular imaging, 3D dynamic cardiac imaging, and 3D battery structure imaging, providing innovative solutions for a wide range of imaging needs.

Product

We are using Row Column Addressing (RCA) to develop ultrasound probes for 3D ultrasound imaging, which successfully reduces the complexity of probe manufacturing and the number of channels required, thereby reducing the cost of imaging systems and facilitating broad market access so that doctors in community hospitals can use 3D imaging.

Based on the RCA method, we have succeeded in producing a matrix probe with a frequency of up to 13 MHz, which is almost four times higher than the commercial 3.5 MHz probe. This means that the spatial resolution of the acquired image is also improved by a factor of four, enabling high-resolution 3D imaging that was not possible with conventional methods. This will help researchers to carry out analyses similar to those in Alzheimer's disease.
