BeastiBite Limited

Company

BeastiBite was founded by chemist Professor Matthew Lui and entomologist Dr. Chi Man Leong, who brought interdisciplinary knowledge and spirit to the company. They are supported by talented and experienced research and technical staff who help turn innovative ideas into reality.

Description

BeastiBite is a start-up focused on using insects to help create a greener world. We aim to develop an insect-based circular economy by utilizing organisms such as mealworms (Tenebrio molitor) and superworms (Zophobas atratus) to eliminate organic waste, including plastics and food waste, and produce sustainable products from their larvae and rearing residues. These products have a wide range of applications in the food, agricultural and biomedical industries.

Our Beliefs

We believe that nature-inspired innovation can redefine the relationship between waste and value. Through interdisciplinary collaboration and scientific excellence, we strive to accelerate the transition toward a circular economy by transforming environmental challenges into sustainable opportunities. By creating sustainable nutrition and biomaterials, we aim to generate meaningful environmental and social impact for future generations.
