摘要

Vision impairment limits people’s ability to carry out daily tasks and can significantly affect their quality of life, and poses an enormous global economic burden. According to the World Health Organization, at least 1 billion people worldwide are living with visual impairment that could have been prevented, and vision problems cost the global economy US$200 billion lost in productivity per year.

In this webinar, the leading scientists from the CEVR research team will discuss their new advances in research that hold promise for the prevention or treatment of common eye and vision disorders including myopia and amblyopia (“lazy eye”), offering hope to the vision impaired patients all over the world.
