1. Gifts: "Gifts" means a festive doll and/or a pack of popcorn. All gifts that are given out in the Event (defined below) cannot be returned or exchanged for cash or for other gifts offered in the Event.
   
   
2. Participation: You, being a participant of the Event (“Participant”) are required to read and agree all terms and conditions (“Terms”) contained herein before participating in the ‘SPARK of Good Fortune’ (the “Event”). By proceeding to participate in the Event, you are deemed to have agreed with the Terms.
   
   
3. Redemption Period: The redemption period is from 12:00 – 14:30 on 20 February 2024.
   
   
4. Redemption Counter: The redemption counter is located at The Square (under the Golden Egg), Hong Kong Science Park.
   
   
5. Procedure: Participants must present their SPARK identity (i.e., SPARK ID) during the redemption period to redeem a gift. Non-SPARK members must first register and become a SPARK member before proceeding with the gift redemption. Each SPARK member can only redeem the gift once throughout the redemption period.
   
   
6. Redemption Limit: Quantity of the gifts is limited and all redemptions are on a first-come, first-served basis while stocks last.
   
   
7. No Warranty and Representation: Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation (“HKSTP”) does not make any warranties and representations in relation to the Event or gifts and disclaims all liabilities in relation to the Event or gifts in so far as permitted under the laws of the Hong Kong SAR. All gifts are provided on an “as is” basis.
   
   
8. Changes: HKSTP reserves all rights to make any changes to the Event or the Terms in its absolute discretion and without the need of giving prior notice including without limitation suspend, terminate, alter or cancel the Event at any time.
   
   
9. Personal Safety: You are fully responsible for your own personal and property safety; HKSTP will accept no claims whatsoever in connection with any accidents, injuries, or loss of valuables that are incurred directly or indirectly from attending the Event.
   
   
10. Video Footage and Still Images: You hereby consent and authorize HKSTP to use your video footage and any still images that are captured from your video footage solely for the promotion and marketing of any HKSTP’s events (including, without limitation, inclusion of your video footage or still image in any HKSTP print promotion-related materials and on various social media platforms, HKSTP hosted websites, HKSTP’s campus TV feeds, onsite TV feeds, Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn accounts). Any such usage by HKSTP shall not contain any of your personal data or information.
    
    
11. Inclement Weather Arrangements: The Event may be changed or canceled due to unexpected factors such as weather or ad hoc events. If there are any such changes, there will be no separate notification. Please refer to the table below for information on arrangements under bad weather conditions.
    
    
12. Event Props and Decorations:You are not allowed to damage or take away any props or decorations of the Event venue.
    
    
13. Instructions: You must follow the instructions of the Event staff and comply with the relevant rules and regulations of the Event when participating in the Event.
    
    
14. Public Safety: HKSTP reserves the right to refuse any person who behaves inappropriately (as determined by Event staff) from participating in the Event.
    
    
15. Terms and Conditions: You acknowledge and accept that HKSTP is at liberty to make any changes or adjustments to the rules and format of the Event from time to time without having to give any prior notice. In the event of any disputes arising out of this Event, HKSTP shall have the full and final say on all matters concerning this Event. In case of any discrepancy between the English and Chinese versions of these General Terms and Conditions, the English version shall prevail.
    
    
16. Third Party Right: No third party will have any rights under the Contracts (Right of Third Parties) Ordinance (Cap.623) to enforce or enjoy the benefit of any of the Terms.
    
    
17. Interpretation of Terms: Interpretation of any of the Terms is the sole prerogative of HKSTP. All decisions by HKSTP regarding the interpretation of the Terms or any issues arising from the Event shall be binding and conclusive.
    
    
18. Servance: If any provisions contained in the Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the invalid or unenforceable provisions shall be severed or amended in such a manner and in HKSTP’s absolute discretion as to render the rest of the provisions and remainder of the Terms shall remain valid and enforceable.
    
    
19. Governing law: The Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Hong Kong SAR and any disputes arising out of or in connection with this declaration shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Hong Kong SAR.
