Dr. Chai assumed the position of Chairman of Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation in July 2018. In the same year, he was awarded the Bronze Bauhinia Star (BBS) by the HKSAR Chief Executive commending his outstanding contributions to the promotion of innovation and technology development in Hong Kong, and was conferred a University Fellow by Hong Kong Polytechnic University. Dr. Chai was awarded the Silver Bauhinia Star (SBS) in 2023 for advancing innovation and technology in Hong Kong through facilitating start-ups, establishing the Shenzhen branch of Hong Kong Science Park and enabling re-industrialisation. He was appointed Honorary Fellow by The Chinese University of Hong Kong in 2023 and was named an Honorary Fellow of City University of Hong Kong in 2022. He was also appointed as a Justice of the Peace in 2021 and received the Young Industrialist Award of Hong Kong in 2004.

Mr. Mak is the Permanent Secretary for Innovation, Technology and Industry of the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.

Mr. Mak joined the Administrative Service in 1991 and has served in a number of policy bureaux and departments, including the former Information Technology and Broadcasting Bureau, the Civil Service Bureau, the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office, Washington and the Post Office. He was Hong Kong Commissioner for Economic and Trade Affairs, USA from July 2018 to September 2021, and served as Director, Celebrations Coordination Office from January to July 2022.

Mr. Conrad Chan Che Chung

Mr. Conrad Chan, a practising lawyer in Hong Kong, is one of the founding partners of Kwok Yih & Chan. He is a corporate and M&A lawyer specialising in M&As and takeovers, private equity transactions, IPOs and capital markets fundraisings, and securities regulatory investigations. Throughout his career, Mr. Chan has advised a diverse range of clients across different industry segments locally and globally, including those in Mainland China. He has received recognition as a leading lawyer by prominent entities such as IFLRl000, Chambers Asia Pacific and Chambers Global on numerous occasions.

Mr. Chan is currently a member of the Takeovers and Mergers Panel and the Takeovers Appeal Committee of the Securities and Futures Commission. He also serves as a member of the Listing Review Committee of The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited and is the Tribunal Convenor of the Solicitors Disciplinary Tribunal Panel. Mr. Eugene Chan Yu Ching

Mr. Eugene Chan serves as the Executive Director and Managing Director of Man Yue Tech Group. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Applied Science from the University of British Columbia in Canada, majoring in Electronic and Electrical Engineering. With over 20 years of extensive experience in the electronic components industry, Mr. Chan received the Young Industrialist Awards of Hong Kong in 2008. Under his leadership, Man Yue Tech Group has not only become the world's No. 4 Aluminum Polymer manufacturer and No. 8 Aluminum E-cap manufacturer but has also broken the foreign monopoly on key components in the electronics and new energy industries.

In recent years, as the global push for energy transformation and carbon neutrality has gained momentum, Mr. Chan has been actively involved in the new energy sector, focusing on the development and application of innovative energy storage systems.

Mr. Chan currently holds several prominent positions in various professional organizations, including serving as the Executive Vice President of the Hong Kong Young Industrialists Council. Ms. Jennifer Chan Pui Kwan

Ms. Jennifer Chan, Chairman of DT Capital Limited, a listed company at HKEx engaged in investment.

Born in Hong Kong, spent her youth and received education in the Netherlands, Ms. Chan started her career as a corporate banker in early 90’s before she became entrepreneur in 2001 with SINOVA, a corporate services & advisory firm. In 2021 she started her latest venture Orientis Ltd., an investment advisory firm for family offices & venture capital firms interested in private equity investment in Europe.

Ms. Chan is also active in the community services and holds advisory positions in various institutions. At present, she is one of the General Committee members of the Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce, a Member of Competition Commission, an Advisory Committee Member of Enhancing Self-Reliance Through District Partnership Programme (ESR), a Member of the Trade and Industry Advisory Board (TIAB) as well as a Member of the Advisory Board of the Dutch Chamber of Commerce.

MR. HERBERT CHIA PUN KOK

Mr. Herbert Chia is a Venture Partner of Sequoia Capital China Fund and the Vice President of Greater Bay Area International Information Technology Industry Association. With over ten years of experience in data strategy and analytics, he has developed a unique data-thinking and data-management approach, offering original insights into the future of big data. During his tenure at Alibaba, he led the data team to achieve a series of significant milestones in the practical application of big data. These included the establishment of a business and decision-making analytics framework for Alibaba Group’s various business entities, developing intelligent data products, and creating an operation team dedicated to the group’s datamation. He also successfully launched public and proprietary Data Asset Management systems and released the Data Protection Pact, among other achievements.

Under Mr. Chia’s leadership, Alibaba’s data team was named China’s Best Information Technology Team by Top CIO 2014. He was also recognised as one of the Ten Most Influential Big Data Entrepreneurs in China by the State Information Center in 2017.

Mr. Donald Choi has over 30 years of global experience as an architect and developer. He is well-versed in both public and private construction projects and firmly believes in harnessing the power of design and technology to empower society. He is currently the Chief Executive Officer of Chinachem Group. Prior to this, he served as the Managing Director of Nan Fung Development and the Director of Foster and Partners. He was also the Authorised Person – Architect for the Hong Kong International Airport Passenger Terminal (HKIA Silver Medal Winner) and numerous infrastructure projects at Chek Lap Kok. The airport was awarded the Top Ten Construction Projects in the World and has won numerous awards, including the Best Airport in the World since its opening in 1998.

Alongside his professional career, Mr. Choi has held multiple leadership roles in NGOs and professional bodies focusing on community, design and innovation. He is the Board Chairperson of the Construction Innovation and Technology Application Centre and a Board member of the Business Environment Council, Hong Kong Design Centre, Hong Kong Green Building Council, and Habitat of Humanity HK. Mr. Dennis HO Chiu Ping

Mr. Dennis Ho is a Partner at PwC. He has over 30 years of extensive experience in providing assurance and transaction-related services. He has assisted numerous companies in preparing for listing in Hong Kong, Singapore and other international stock exchanges. Mr. Ho frequently advises and assists local, mainland-based and multinational companies on corporate restructuring, transactions, mergers and acquisitions.

Mr. Ho has made significant contributions to developing the accounting profession in Hong Kong. In 2015, he was the President of Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and he continues to actively participate in many professional committees and statutory bodies of the Government of HKSAR. He is currently a member of Estate Agents Authority, the Standing Committee on Company Law Reform and the Mandatory Provident Fund Schemes Advisory Committee. He was appointed by the Minister of Finance of the People’s Republic of China as the Hong Kong Accounting Advisor. He also serves as a member of the Election Committee of HKSAR. He was awarded as an Outstanding Alumnus by the Hong Kong Polytechnic University in 2017. He currently serves on several advisory boards of universities in Hong Kong.

Ir. HON Chi Keung

Ir. Hon Chi Kong joined the civil service after graduating from the University of Hong Kong in 1980. He had worked in different engineering works departments before his retirement as Permanent Secretary for Development (Works), HKSAR Government in 2018.  In the earlier dates of his engineering career, he was instrumental to the completion of a number of major infrastructural projects including the Strategic Sewage Disposal Scheme Stage I, various flood alleviation projects and Central-Wanchai Bypass.  More recently during his tenure in the Development Bureau, he instigated regeneration of the construction industry by advocating the “Construction 2.0 – Time to change” roadmap. 

Ir. Hon holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering and a master degree in Public Administration from the University of Hong Kong.  He also holds a degree in Bachelor of Laws (external degree) from University of London.  He is a fellow of the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers, Institution of Civil Engineers and Hong Kong Academy of Engineering Sciences.

Ir. Hon joined the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers as Chief Executive of Secretary since September 2020. He retired from this position with effect from July 2023.

Prof. Stephanie Ma Kwai Yee

Prof. Stephanie Ma obtained her B.Sc. (Cell Biology and Genetics) and M.Sc. (Experimental Medicine) degrees from the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, Canada. She then graduated with a Ph.D. degree from The University of Hong Kong (HKU) with an outstanding ranking and received the Li Ka Shing Prize for the Best PhD Thesis of that year. Since then, she has worked at The University of Hong Kong where she is currently Professor and Associate Director (Knowledge Exchange and Global) in the School of Biomedical Sciences at the Li Ka Shing Faculty of Medicine.  Prof. Ma is also a Principal Investigator at the State Key Laboratory of Liver Research at HKU. Her research interests are in understanding how a more undifferentiated and stemness state in cancer can contribute to therapy resistance and tumour recurrence. She is the recipient of the 2008 Young Scientist Award in Life Sciences from the Hong Kong Institution of Science, the 2014 Croucher Innovation Award, the 2014 Scientific Research Outstanding Achievement Awards (Second-class Award in Science and Technology Section) from the Higher Education Institution of China, the 2017 University of British Columbia Alumni Builder Award (Canada), the 2021 Research Grants Council (RGC) Research Fellow Scheme as well as the 2023 Croucher Senior Research Fellowship.  Prof. Ma is a Founding Member of the Hong Kong Young Academy of Sciences, where she currently serves as Vice-President and Co-Chair of their Outreach Committee. She also serves as a Member of both the Science Sub-committee under the Museum Advisory Committee and the Expert Panel on the Designation of Designated Local Research Institutions.

Deputy Chairman, Sino Group

Mr. Daryl NG Win Kong

Mr. Daryl Ng Win-kong, SBS, JP, is Deputy Chairman of Sino Group.

Mr. Ng founded the Hong Kong Innovation Foundation, an organisation dedicated to supporting Hong Kong’s growth into an international innovation and technology hub. The foundation encompasses a comprehensive innovation ecosystem that includes educational initiatives like Go Code and OC STEM Lab, the sandbox platform of Sino Inno Lab to facilitate co-creation, provision of co-working spaces for start-ups, and partnerships with academia and community partners to incubate business plans and innovative solutions. The foundation also champions proprietary innovations, such as the award-winning City Air Purification System.

Mr. Ng is a member of the Global Leadership Council of Columbia University, a Member of the 12th and 13th Beijing Municipal Committees of CPPCC, the Standing Committee of the 14th Beijing Municipal Committee of Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference, and the Council for Carbon Neutrality and Sustainable Development. He also serves as a member of the Advisory Council on the Environment, the Culture Commission, the Estate Agents Authority of the HKSAR, and is a Director of the Real Estate Developers Association of Hong Kong. His further commitments include roles as a member of the Board of Directors of the Hong Kong Palace Museum, the Council of the University of Hong Kong, the Court of the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, the National Heritage Board of Singapore, and the Singapore Management University International Advisory Council.

Mr. Ng holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and a Master of Science degree in Real Estate Development from Columbia University, and an Honorary Doctor of Humane Letters degree from Savannah College of Art and Design. He is also an Honorary Fellow of both the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology and the Hong Kong Metropolitan University.

HEAD OF ASIA NORTH & AUSTRALIA, CLUSTER AND BANKING, Citi

Ms. Angel NG Yin Yee

Ms. Angel Ng is the Head of Asia North and Australia, Cluster and Banking for Citi Global Wealth.  She oversees Citi's franchise in Australia, China, Hong Kong, Korea, New Zealand, and Taiwan. Her role includes geographic management, client coverage and delivery, legal entity management, product oversight, banking segment management, and driving local client engagement across all business lines.

Before assuming her current role, Ms. Ng was the Head of Asia for Citi Global Wealth.  She joined Citi Hong Kong in 1998, and over the years, she has held many senior positions, including the CEO of Citi Hong Kong and Macau, Head of Consumer Banking, Head of Wealth Management and Head of Cards. 

Ms. Ng commenced her career with HSBC. Before joining Citi, she held a number of senior positions at Procter & Gamble and CLP Power Hong Kong.

Ms. Ng currently contributes to several organisations as a board or committee member, including the Financial Infrastructure and Market Development Sub-Committee under the Exchange Fund Advisory Committee of the Hong Kong Monetary Authority. She also serves on the Banking Advisory Committee of the Hong Kong Monetary Authority, the Board of Directors of the Hong Kong Science & Technology Parks Corporation, the Council of the Treasury Markets Association, and the Board Trustees of the Chung Chi College, the Chinese University of Hong Kong.

Ms. Ng holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the Chinese University of Hong Kong.

Legislative Council Member - Industrial (Second)

Hon Jimmy NG Wing Ka

The Honourable Jimmy Ng Wing-ka is a member of the 7th Legislative Council, representing the Industrial (Second) Functional Constituency (2022 – 2025), and is a legal practitioner. He also serves as a Council Member of the Hong Kong Polytechnic University and Council Member and Member of Court of the University of Hong Kong.

In addition to serving as the Chairman of Hong Kong-Taiwan Business Co-operation Committee (BCC) and the Chairman of the Passport Appeal Board, HKSAR, Hon. Ng is a member of the Competition Commission, the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) Election Committee, and the Vice-chairman of the Independent Police Complaints Council (IPCC). He is also a Non-Executive Director of The Hong Kong Mortgage Corporation Limited (HKMC).

Hon. Ng also holds the position of Hong Kong Deputy to the National People’s Congress of the PRC. He is a member of the Shaanxi Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, and serves as the Standing Vice Chairman and Treasurer of the China Association for Promoting the Peaceful Reunification of China Limited. He currently holds positions as an independent non-executive director of Yanchang Petroleum International Limited, MTR Corporation Limited and Glorious Sun Enterprises Limited. Furthermore, he is the Chairman of the Hong Kong Association of Friends of Maotai.

HON Elizabeth Quat

Hon. Elizabeth Quat, a Legislative Council Member, is the current Chairman of Panel on Environmental Affairs, Chairman of Subcommittee on Matters Relating to the Development of Smart City, Deputy Chairman of the Committee on Members' Interests, the former Chairman of Panel on Health Services and Panel on Information Technology and Broadcasting. Hon. Quat has founded several non-profit organizations. She is the Founder and Honorary President of the "Smart City Consortium", Founding President of the "Energy Saving & Environment Concern Alliance", one of the founders and former president of "Internet Professional Association". Hon Quat is the Honorary President of International New Energy Industry Alliance, and Advisory Board Member of ESG Consortium, Honorary Advisor of "Institute of Web 3.0 Hong Kong", and Co-chairman of "International Hydrogen Investment Assoication". She is an elected member of the HKSAR Election Committee for the Technology and Innovation Sub-sector, and also was the elected member of the HKSAR Election Committee for the Information Technology Sub-sector in 2006 and 2011.

Hon. Quat was appointed by the HKSAR Government as Member of The Deposit- taking Companies Advisory Committee, Non-official Member of the Task Force on Promoting Web3 Development, Non-official Member of the Green Tech Fund Assessment Committee and Member of the Sub-Committee on Development of Industries under the Advisory committee on the Northern Metropolis.

Her previous official appointments include member of the "Advisory Committee on Innovation & Technology", member of the "Small Entrepreneur Research Assistance Programme Project Assessment Panel" of the Innovation and Technology Fund, Senior Advisory Committee Member of "The United Nations' Global Alliance For ICT and Development", member of the "Digital 21 Strategy Advisory Committee", and member of the "Personal Data (Privacy) Advisory Committee".

Dr. Samson Tam

Dr. Samson Tam is a technology-driven entrepreneur with over 30 years of experience in business management and the founder of "Instant-Dict". He has actively participated in angel investment, demonstrating a keen interest in creating an ecosystem to nurture startups.

Currently, Dr. Tam serves as the Chairman of Group Sense Limited and Hong Kong Industry-University-Research Collaboration Association. He is also a Partner of Hong Kong INNO Angel Fund, Shenzhen Baytech Capital, and Shenzhen Zebras Technology Startup Acceleration, and a member of the Cyberport Investors Network. 

Dr. Tam was an elected member of the Legislative Council of Hong Kong (Information Technology), Chairman of Hong Kong Business Angel Network, and Deputy Chairman of HKPC.

General Manager, Commercial Banking Department Bank of China (Hong Kong) Limited

Ms. Phoebe Tse

Ms. Phoebe Tse is the General Manager of Commercial Banking Department of Bank of China (Hong Kong) Limited. With a wealth of experience in the banking sector, she previously held the position of Deputy Chief Executive of Nanyang Commercial Bank (China) Limited in Shanghai from 2008 to 2012, overseeing corporate banking and treasury markets. Following this, she served as the Vice Chairman and the Chief Executive of Chiyu Banking Corporation Limited from August 2012 to February 2016, where she assumed overall responsibility for the business and operations management of the bank.

Ms. Tse is a member of the Board of Directors of the Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation, the General Committee of Federation of Hong Kong Industries, and Member of the Quality Assurance Council (QAC) of the University Grants Committee (UGC). 

Ms. Tse earned her Master of Business Administration degree from The Chinese University of Hong Kong.

President, Ascendent Capital Partners (Asia) Limited

Dr. Philip Zhai Pu

Dr. Philip Zhai, aged 48.  Dr. Zhai obtained a Ph.D from Cambridge University in the United Kingdom in 2000 and a bachelor’s degree in Material Science and Engineering from Tsinghua University, China, in 1996. 

Dr. Zhai has taken a role of President for Ascendent Capital Partners (Asia) Limited based in Hong Kong from October 2018.  Ascendent is a private equity firm focused on mid-market Greater China investment opportunities, managing capital for global renowned institutional investors including sovereign wealth funds, endowments, pensions and foundations.  

Dr. Zhai has over 20 years of experience in corporate development and investment banking.  He has been the Chief Executive Officer of China Alpha Fund Management (HK) Limited and Managing Director of J.P. Morgan Securities (Asia Pacific) Limited.

Besides career life, Dr. Zhai is currently the Executive Vice Chairman of Chinese Financial Association of Hong Kong, the Vice President of Tsinghua Alumni Association of Hong Kong and the Director of HK & Macau Taiwanese Charity Fund Limited.  He is also a committee member of Shaanxi Committee of The Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference.
