Dr. Sunny CHAI Ngai Chiu

Dr. Chai assumed the position of Chairman of Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation in July 2018. In the same year, he was awarded the Bronze Bauhinia Star (BBS) by the HKSAR Chief Executive commending his outstanding contributions to the promotion of innovation and technology development in Hong Kong, and was conferred a University Fellow by Hong Kong Polytechnic University. He was appointed Honorary Fellow by The Chinese University of Hong Kong in 2023 and was named an Honorary Fellow of City University of Hong Kong in 2022. He was also appointed as a Justice of the Peace in 2021 and received the Young Industrialist Award of Hong Kong in 2004.

Mr. Eddie MAK is the Permanent Secretary for Innovation, Technology and Industry of the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.

Eddie joined the Administrative Service in 1991 and has served in a number of policy bureaux and departments, including the former Information Technology and Broadcasting Bureau, the Civil Service Bureau, the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office, Washington and the Post Office. He was Hong Kong Commissioner for Economic and Trade Affairs, USA from July 2018 to September 2021, and served as Director, Celebrations Coordination Office from January to July 2022.

Mr. Chen Shuang, JP, is currently the Founding & Managing Partner of APlus Partners Management Co., Limited.

Mr. Chen held positions of Director and Deputy General manager of China Everbright Holdings Co., Ltd., Executive Director, Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Management Decision Committee of China Everbright Limited (0165.HK), Executive Director and Chairman of China Aircraft Leasing Group Holdings Limited (1848.HK), and Chairman of Everbright Jiabao Co. Herbert is currently Venture Partner of Sequoia Capital China Fund. With over 10 years of experience in data strategy and analytics, he has formed his own unique way of data-thinking and data-management, and has original insights in the future of big data. He has led Alibaba’s data team to make a series of significant achievements in the practical field of big data, including establishing a business and decision-making analytics framework for Alibaba Group’s business groups, developing intelligent data products, creating an operation team which contributes to the datamation of the group, successfully launching the public and proprietary Data Asset Management systems, and releasing the Data Protection Pact and so on.

Herbert was the leader of the Alibaba’s data team in 2014 which was named China’s Best Information Technology Team by Top CIO 2014. He was also rated as one of the Ten Most Influential Big Data Entrepreneurs in China by the State Information Center in 2017.

Donald has worked globally as architect and developer for over 30 years. He is familiar with both public and private projects and believes in the power of design and architecture to empower society. Clients have included Hong Kong Government, Airport Authority, Mass Transit Railway Corporation, Urban Renewal Authority, Public Works Canada, British Columbia Buildings Corporation, NGOs and the private sector.

He is currently the Chief Executive Officer of Chinachem Group. He was the Managing Director of Nan Fung Development and before Nan Fung, Director of Foster and Partners and the Authorised Person – Architect for the Hong Kong International Airport Passenger Terminal (HKIA Silver Medal Winner) and many infrastructure projects at Chek Lap Kok. The airport was awarded the Top Ten Construction Projects in the World and has won numerous awards including the Best Airport in the World since opening in 1998.

Alongside his professional career, he has held multiple leadership roles in NGOs and professional bodies that focus on design, innovation and the community. He is currently an Adjunct Professor at HKU, Trustee of Rhode Island School of Design, Advisory Committee Member of the HKTDC Infrastructure Development, Advisory Committee Member of PolyU Jockey Club Design Institute for Social Innovation, Member of HKU Campus Development and Planning Committee, President of the Hong Kong Institute of Architects, President of the Hong Kong Institute of Urban Design, and Honorary Advisor of Hong Kong Workers’ Health Centre. Ms. Cordelia CHUNG

Ms. Chung is a corporate leader with extensive multinational experience. Specialised in information technology, with knowledge in building industry, and trained and practised as a lawyer.

Ms. Chung spent over 20 years with IBM. She was the first Asian female executive to serve on IBM Chairman & CEO's Strategy Team, setting global directions. She held senior leadership positions including Regional General Manager for Southeast Asian countries; General Manager for IBM China/Hong Kong Limited and General Counsel for Asia Pacific.

Ms. Chung currently serves as non-executive director of Arup Group Limited and Grosvenor Asia Pacific Limited and independent non-executive director of Hang Seng Bank Limited. She is Chairperson of Maryknoll Convent School Foundation, Chairperson of her private investment company Clarksdale Investment Limited and senior consultant at law firm Raymond T.Y. Chan, Victoria Chan & Co. Ms. Chung also serves on Hong Kong Government Human Resources Planning Commission and Hong Kong Government Research Grants Council. Mr. Kent HO Ching Tak

Kent Ho is the Founder and CEO of S28 Capital - a technology venture capital fund with US$170 million under management. The fund focuses on seed stage investing in the Enterprise SaaS and Infrastructure space. Previously he also co-founded Harbor Pacific Capital. Kent's previous early stage investments include: Palantir (NYSE), Coupang (NYSE), Zoom (NSDQ), Plangrid (acquired by Autodesk (NSDQ)) and Noom.

Kent earned his M.B.A from Stanford Graduate School of Business and his B.A. from Duke University. He is an Honorary Trustee from Peking University. He sits on multiple boards including Grace Wine Holdings Limited. He was formerly a member of the advisory board of the Hong Kong Trade and Development Council Technology Committee.

Kent was selected for the Young Global Leaders by World Economic Forum in 2018.

Mr. Dennis HO Chiu Ping

Dennis is the Partner of PwC. He has over 29 years extensive experience in providing assurance and transaction-related services as well as in assisting companies in preparing for listing in Hong Kong, Singapore and other stock exchanges. Dennis is frequently involved in advising and assisting local, mainland-based and multinational companies on corporate restructuring, transactions, mergers and acquisitions.

Dennis has been promoting the development of accounting profession in Hong Kong. He was the President of Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants in 2015 and he actively participates in many professional committees and statutory bodies of the Government of HKSAR. He is a member of Standing Committee on Company Law Reform, Mandatory Provident Fund Schemes Appeal Board, Professional Services Advancement Support Scheme Vetting Committee and a director of Urban Renewal Fund. He is appointed by Minister of Finance of the People’s Republic of China as the Hong Kong Accounting Advisor and is a member of Election Committee of HKSAR. He was awarded as Outstanding PolyU Alumni in 2017 and serves on a number of advisory boards of universities in Hong Kong.

Prof. Stephanie Ma Kwai Yee

Prof. Stephanie Ma obtained her B.Sc. (Cell Biology and Genetics) and M.Sc. (Experimental Medicine) degrees from the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, Canada. She then graduated with a Ph.D. degree from The University of Hong Kong (HKU) with an outstanding ranking and was awarded the Li Ka Shing Prize for the Best PhD Thesis of that year. Since then, she has been working at The University of Hong Kong where she is currently a Professor and Associate Director (Knowledge Exchange and Global) in the School of Biomedical Sciences at the Li Ka Shing Faculty of Medicine. Prof. Ma is also a Principal Investigator at the State Key Laboratory of Liver Research at HKU. Prof. Ma's research interest is on understanding how a more undifferentiated and stemness state in cancer can contribute to therapy resistance and tumor recurrence. According to the ISI Essential Science Indicator, Prof. Ma has been listed, from 2010 to 2018, as the top 1% of most cited scholars under the category of 'clinical medicine' and 'all fields'. She is also the recipient of the 2008 Young Scientist Award in Life Sciences from the Hong Kong Institution of Science, the 2012-13 Outstanding Young Researcher Award from HKU, the 2014 Croucher Innovation Award, the 2014 Scientific Research Outstanding Achievement Awards (Second-class Award in Science and Technology Section) from the Higher Education Institution of China, the 2017 University of British Columbia Alumni Builder Award (Canada), the 2018 Ton Duc Thang University Scientific Prize - Rising Star Award (Vietnam), the 2021 Research Grants Council (RGC) Research Fellow Scheme as well as the 2023 Croucher Senior Research Fellowship. Prof. Ma is a Founding Member of the Hong Kong Young Academy of Sciences in which she currently serves as Vice-President and Co-Chair of their Outreach Committee.

Dr. Kim MAK Kin Wah

Kim is currently President of Caritas Institute of Higher Education and Caritas Bianchi College of Careers, leading the mission towards establishing St. Francis University. Kim holds the degrees of Ph.D. and M.Phil. from Cambridge University, MBA from City University London, and Bachelor of Engineering (1st Class Honours) from University of Western Australia. Kim also holds the professional qualifications of Chartered Engineer, Member of the Institution of Civil Engineers, and Member of the Institute of Marine Engineering, Science & Technology.

Kim won the Director of the Year Awards of the Institute of Directors in two consecutive years. He has a combination of success in establishing strategies and business models for corporations and NGOs, working with government, legislators and the media, and leading major projects in Europe, Australia, Hong Kong and Mainland China.

Deputy Chairman, Sino Group

Mr Daryl NG Win Kong

SBS, JP

Mr Daryl Ng Win-kong, SBS, JP, is Deputy Chairman of Sino Group.

Mr Ng has founded the Hong Kong Innovation Foundation to support Hong Kong’s growth into an international innovation and technology hub. It comprises educational initiatives like Go Code and OC STEM Lab, the sandbox platform of Sino Inno Lab to facilitate co-creation, provision of co-working spaces for start-ups as well as proprietary innovations like the award-winning City Air Purification System.

Mr Ng is also a Member of the Global Leadership Council of Columbia University, a Member of the 12th and 13th Beijing Municipal Committees of CPPCC, a Member of the Cyberport Advisory Panel, a Member of the Council of the University of Hong Kong, and a Member of the Singapore Management University International Advisory Council.

Mr Ng holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and a Master of Science degree in Real Estate Development from Columbia University, and an Honorary Doctor of Humane Letters degree from Savannah College of Art and Design. He is also an Honorary Fellow of the Open University of Hong Kong.

HEAD OF ASIA, CITI GLOBAL WEALTH

Ms. Angel NG Yin Yee

Angel Ng is the Head of Asia for Citi Global Wealth.  She is responsible for overseeing Citi Asia’s wealth business which includes Asia Private Bank and Consumer banking franchises in Hong Kong and Singapore.

Prior to her current position, Angel was the CEO for Citi Hong Kong and Macau.  She joined Citi in 1998, since then held many senior roles include Head of Consumer Banking, Head of Wealth Management and Head of Cards. 

Prior to Citi, Angel held a number of senior positions at Procter & Gamble and China Light and Power Hong Kong.  She started her career with HSBC. 

Angel currently serves as a board or committee member of the following organizations: Financial Infrastructure and Market Development Sub-Committee under the Exchange Fund Advisory Committee; Council of the Treasury Markets Association; Vice Chairman of the Financial & Treasury Services Committee of The Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce; and Board Advisor of Teach for Hong Kong.

Hon Jimmy NG Wing Ka

Honourable Jimmy NG Wing-ka is a member of the 6th Legislative Council who represents the Industrial (Second) Functional Constituency (2016 – 2021) and a legal practitioner. He also serves as a Council Member of the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, and Council Member and Member of Court of the University of Hong Kong.

Besides being the Chairman of Hong Kong-Taiwan Business Co-operation Committee (BCC) and the Chairman of the Passport Appeal Board, HKSAR, Hon. NG serves as a member of the Competition Commission, Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) Election Committee, Vice-chairman of the Independent Police Complaints Council (IPCC), Non-Executive Director of Mandatory Provident Fund Schemes Authority as well as Non-Executive Director of The Hong Kong Mortgage Corporation Limited (HKMC).

At the same time, Hon. NG is also a member of the Chongqing Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), a Standing Vice Chairman and Treasurer of the China Association for Promoting the Peaceful Reunification of China Limited. He currently serves as an independent non-executive director of Yanchang Petroleum International Limited, MTR Corporation Limited and Glorious Sun Enterprises Limited. Hon Elizabeth Quat

BBS, JP

Hon. Elizabeth Quat, a Legislative Council member, is the current Chairman of Panel on Environmental Affairs, Deputy Chairman of the Committee on Members' Interests, former Chairman of the Panel on Health Services and the Panel on Information Technology and Broadcasting. Hon. Quat has founded several non-profit organisations. She is the Founder and Honorary President of the Smart City Consortium, Founding President of the Energy Saving & Environment Concern Alliance, and one of the founders and former President of the Internet Professional Association. Hon Quat was appointed as Member of The Deposit-taking Companies Advisory Committee. She was an elected member of the HKSAR Election Committee for the Information Technology Sub-sector in 2006 and 2011.

Her previous official appointments include member of the Advisory Committee on Innovation & Technology, member of the "Small Entrepreneur Research Assistance Programme Project Assessment Panel" of the Innovation and Technology Fund, Senior Advisory Committee Member of The United Nations' Global Alliance For ICT and Development, member of the Digital 21 Strategy Advisory Committee, and member of the Personal Data (Privacy) Advisory Committee.

Dr. Samson Tam

Dr. Samson Tam is a technology-oriented entrepreneur. He is the founder of "Instant-Dict" with over 30 years experiences in business management. Dr. Tam has been actively participating in angel investment, covering areas in information technology, smart manufacturing and internet health-care. He is also interested in AI, Robotics, Fintech and IC, etc., and keen on creating an ecosystem to nurture startups.

Samson is now Chairman of Group Sense Limited and Hong Kong Industry-University-Research Collaboration Association, Partner of Hong Kong INNO Angel Fund, Shenzhen Baytech Capital, Shenzhen Zebras Technology Startup Acceleration, member of Cyberport Investors Network, Trustee of the United College of the CUHK and Hon Vice Chairman of the PRD Council, Federation of Hong Kong Industries.

Samson was an elected member of the Legislative Council of Hong Kong (Information Technology), Chairman of Hong Kong Business Angel Network, a Deputy Chairman of HKPC and Council Member of OUHK. He was awarded the “Young Industrialist Award of Hong Kong” in 1992 and was named one of the “Ten Outstanding Young Persons” in 1997. In recognition of his service and leadership in technology and the community, Samson was awarded an Honorary Fellowship by HKUST in 2008 and by OUHK in 2017.

General Manager, Commercial Banking Department Bank of China (Hong Kong) Limited

Ms. Phoebe Tse

Ms. Phoebe Tse is General Manager of Commercial Banking Department of Bank of China (Hong Kong) Limited. She is an experienced banker, she joined BOCHK in 1989 and has since held various managerial positions. She was appointed as Deputy Chief Executive of Nanyang Commercial Bank (China) Limited in Shanghai overseeing corporate banking and treasury markets business from 2008 to 2012. She was appointed the Vice Chairman and the Chief Executive of Chiyu Banking Corporation Limited from August 2012 to February 2016 with overall responsibility for the business and operations management of the bank.

Phoebe serves as a member of the Estate Agents Authority, Hong Kong Export Credit Insurance Corporation Advisory Board, Employees Retraining Board and General Committee of Federation of Hong Kong Industries.

Phoebe graduated from The Chinese University of Hong Kong in 1989 with Bachelor of Business Administration degree, and obtained her EMBA degree in 2007 from The Chinese University of Hong Kong.
