The Position

  • Provide instrumentation and application support for Biomedical Technology Support Centre (BSC);
  • Manage the daily operation and maintenance of BSC’s laboratories instruments;
  • Plan, coordinate and organize projects from planning to implementation including budgeting and promotion e.g. preparation and development of marketing materials including brochures, presentation, website, banner, poster, etc
  • Prepare technical writing including standard operating procedures, protocols, technical notes, guidelines and flow charts;
  • Interact with customers to understand their technical requirements and develop effective solutions;
  • Build and maintain collaborative relationships with various stakeholders including but not limited to academia, researchers, incubatees and business clients;
  • Conduct training to support projects of BSC’s users;
  • Take the lead of the procurement and interact with suppliers; and
  • Perform any other duties as assigned.


The Candidate

  • A bachelor’s degree or above in Biology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Medical Laboratory Science, Pharmacology or other related life science disciplines;
  • Minimum 3 years work experience in life science laboratory, preferably with high precision instrument like LC/MS, GC, Next Generation Sequencing (library preparation and data analysis), or Confocal imaging;
  • Keep abreast of the latest development in instrumentation and analytical methods;
  • Familiar with occupational hazards and standard safety practices;
  • A good team player with customer-centered service attitude is a must;
  • Excellent analytical and presentation and skills with effective communication; and
  • Proficient in both written and spoken English and Chinese.


A fresh PhD graduate is also welcome. Commencing position will be commensurate with qualifications, relevant experience and competencies.
