NIR sensing is attractive for a plethora of applications in image sensors, medical and non-invasive detection. Crimson Vision has developed a visible-blind NIR detection platform technology for different applications, e.g., a Portable Fruit Quality Detector for non-destructive detection of fruit quality. It can detect the qualities of fruits, for example, sugar (Brix) level, acidity and water content. This product is more reliable and cost-efficient for fast and portable fruit quality detection. The core technologies have been granted patents in the US, China and Japan. The product uses Crimson Vision’s visible blind NIR detection technologies for applications in non-invasive detection of acidity, sugar and water content in fruits and transfers the data to mobile devices or laptops via Bluetooth.
