Electronics Cluster

Electronics touch every part of our lives, today and tomorrow. Make a real impact here as you shape the future of our electronic age.

We offer a wealth of resources to drive innovative engineering, rapid prototyping and  product development. Take advantage of technical support in testing, analysis and consultation through our Technology Support Centre. Attend events and programmes to spur new thinking around topics ranging from semiconductor integrated circuits to IoT.

Our Facilities and Services

Reliability Lab

Determine product lifespan and performance under different environmental conditions.

IC Failure Analysis Lab

Analyse semiconductor devices and electronic products using advanced test equipment.

IC Test Development & Pilot Production

Test programme development for integrated circuits and pilot production in small batches.

EDA Tools Sub-license Service

Access a wide range of Electronic Design Automation tools and licenses.

TSC Labs

Teach and train university students in partnership with local tertiary institutions.

An Open and Shared Sensor Lab

Develop and prototype MEMS sensors with our open and shared Sensor Lab.  The Lab supports fabrication and integration, with shared class 100 and 1000 cleanrooms equipped with related instruments. The area also leads to a complete 6”/8” silicon base foundry pilot line so you can develop your sensors with ease.

Sensor Hub Testing Platform

Monitor ambient and environmental conditions using sensors and IoT technologies to yield real-time measurement and data for further analysis. The Sensor Hub Testing Platform enables testing on the Science Park campus, so you can translate sensor designs into applications and collect data and feedback for product enhancement to accelerate your commercialisation cycle.

Our Programmes and Initiatives

HKSTP Electronics Month

Every August, we bring together experts, leading industry players, academics and Park companies to discuss the future of electronics development. Learn about the latest trends in electronics packaging and manufacturing, meet with suppliers and recruit new talent.

IDM2 ( “Idea, Design, Manufacture and Market” ) programme

Commercialise your ideas to market with our hardware accelerator programme IDM2 - “Idea, Design, Manufacture and Market”. The latest initiatives are:

  • The IDM2 Manufacturing Track which focuses on helping start-ups shorten hardware development cycle through coaching on production-related matters and connecting them to the Greater Bay Area’s production power.
  • The IDM2 Micro-Electronics Node which provides HKSTP partner companies and university students in Hong Kong hands-on technical training on implementing FPGA solutions.
