Hong Kong Science Park Virtual Career Expo Showing Strong Number of Registrations from Local and Overseas I&T Talents

I&T multinational companies, trailblazing startups, industry experts and experienced recruiters to share insights on the exciting opportunities with candidates

Hong Kong, 24 March 2020 – Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation (HKSTP) is hosting the Hong Kong Science Park Virtual Career Expo 2020 (The Expo) from tomorrow till 31 March 2020. Around 2,000 talents from Hong Kong and overseas have already signed up for the Fair, where over 1,000 job opportunities are being offered.

During the Expo, HKSTP will be hosting free and interactive webinars daily, featuring I&T multinationals, trailblazing startups, industry experts and experienced recruiters to help candidates gain greater insights on the opportunities and career potential in the I&T industry. The guest speakers include Dr. KC Tsui, Chief Operating Officer of CryptoBLK; Lydia Leung, Chief Executive Officer of Belun; Miles Wen, Chief Executive Officer of Fano Labs; Patrick Tu, Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder of Dayta AI; Patrick Yu, Vice President of People at Lalamove; Stanley Sy, Chief Executive Officer of Sanomics. George Tee, Chief Technology Officer of HKSTP, and Patrick Yu of Lalamove – a homegrown logistics unicorn with over USD 1 billion valuation and HKSTP incubation programme graduate – will join hands to kick-start the webinar series on March 25, 3pm-3:20pm (HK Time).

As the city’s first and largest I&T virtual job fair, the Expo has seen strong and positive response from local and overseas talents. Among the registrants, more than half are bachelor degree holders while post-graduates or those with doctoral degrees and above account for 30% and 10% respectively. There are 160 potential employers, who include Hong Kong Science Park companies, current incubatees and graduates from HKSTP’s incubation programmes, SMEs and multinationals coming from Artificial Intelligence and Robotics, Biomedical Technology, Fintech and Smart City technology sectors. 

The Hong Kong Science Park Virtual Career Expo 2020 provides an exceptional opportunity for employers to attract worldwide I&T talents. Participating companies will be using virtual exhibition booths to share career-related information, and hold on-demand live chats, webcasts and presentations to converse with potential hires.
