HKSTP Launches Youth InnoExplorers Programme Igniting Creative Mindset in Secondary Students toward the Future of Innovation and Technology
(Hong Kong, 30 October 2025) – The Hong Kong Science and Technolgy Parks Corporation (HKSTP) launched the programme of Youth InnoExplorers, supported by Hong Kong Sheng Kung Hui (HKSKH) Education Services, and held the kick-off ceremony at Science Park on 18 October.
In response to the HKSAR Financial Secretary’s budget speech, the Youth InnoExplorers programme aims to spark secondary students’ interest in innovation and technology (I&T), and is dedicated to nurturing the next generation of I&T talent in Hong Kong. By connecting schools with industry, the programme will introduce students and teachers to the opportunities and careers in Hong Kong’s I&T ecosystem through a series of experiential activities. HKSTP believes that secondary school is a critical period for students to explore their career aspirations and hopes this programme will inspire them to pursue STEM-related subjects in the future, thereby building a stronger pool of local I&T talent for the city.
Over this academic year, the programme will host various interactive events, expecting to attract nearly a thousand students and teachers from over 30 secondary schools and involve more than 30 park companies. HKSTP will invite I&T professionals to lead sharing sessions on diverse topics, and in collaboration with SenseTime, will host an AI chess competition to enrich the students’ understanding of AI and robotics applications. By cooperating closely with schools and the industry, HKSTP anticipates motivating more youth to join the I&T field, propelling technological innovation and sustainable social development in Hong Kong hand in hand.
