Using breath odour as indication of illnesses isn’t a new approach; in 400 B.C., doctors learned that smelling a patient's breath could help with diagnoses, e.g. Fruity breath smell of diabetic patients. Many years of traditional diagnosis are blood and urine tests, but breath analysis is non-invasive, rapid, low cost and easiest to collect.

With the recent advancement in Nanotechnology and Artificial Intelligent (AI) computing, we are developing patent-pending technologies that integrate advances in gas sensing nanoarray, artificial intelligence algorithms, informative disease volatile organic compound (VOC) database and internet-of-things (IoT) cloud platform that, combined, enable us to detect multiple diseases using breath.

Our breath sensor will be designed and incorporated into a point of care device for front line applications; such as in hospitals for painless and rapid diagnosis of different disease, in community centers for mass screening of elderly people, provide low cost diagnosis in rural area and poor countries. In addition, our sensor will also be incorporated into high-throughput laboratory device for centralized large quantity sample testing.

We believe that our breathalyzer device will revolutionize disease diagnosis to become the new era of non-invasive diagnostic tool in clinical practice, reaching more people in the world and saving millions of lives by early diagnosis.
