4-member team competition. Each team is required to finish 3 races. Accumulated results of all 3 individual races will confirm the final ranking. Please check Game Rules of each race.

Eligibility

All participated teammates must be Science Park tenants' staff, who hold a valid Science Park smart card with company name, user name and smart card no. printed

Remarks

1) All participants must have a valid “Vaccine Pass”

2) Competition schedule will be arranged according to the registration order

3) A notification email notice regarding collection of race pack will be sent to the registered participants one week before the event day. Participants have to present the electronic copy of the notification email and Science Park smart card to collect the race pack.

4) All gaming facilities will be opened to registered teams on 19 Dec for practise, details will be shared by email.

Event Rules & Regulations

  • 4-member team competition, every participant is allowed to represent the team to participate one race only.
  • Participants are required to report at [Assemble Counter] with their Science Park smart card 15 mins before the race begins. No re-arrangement for late arrival.
  • Participants are required to wear their number bib and mask.
  • Participants are required to follow staff’s guideline and use the machines correctly; Offenders will be disqualified once found.
  • Cheating in the event is also not allowed. Offenders will be disqualified once found.
  • All results have to be confirmed by participants with their signatures right after the race is completed.
  • Should there be disputes of the prizes and positions, the Organiser reserves the right of the final decision.
  • The team with the highest total score in the three races will become the champion team. If two or more organisations score the same highest points, the one which holds more first places will win.

Basketball Shooting Race (2 players)

  1. 2 players game, participant replacement is not allowed after the race started.
  2. Each team will be offered 6 basketballs.
  3. Participants are required to shoot in designated area, climbing or standing on the machine is not allowed.
  4. Maximum 5 stages, pass the minimum scores of each stage to advance to the next stage.
  5. 3 seconds transition time between each stage (scores will NOT be counted during transition)
    1st Stage: 60 second challenge time (move to next stage when scores over 40)
    2nd Stage: 55 second challenge time (move to next stage when scores over 150)
    3rd Stage: 50 second challenge time (move to next stage when scores over 250)
    4th Stage: 45 second challenge time (move to the final stage when scores over 400)
    5th Stage (Final Stage): 40 second challenge time
  6. After completing the challenge, total scores shown on the monitor is the final result of this race.

Electronic Darts Race (1 player)

  1. 1 player game, participant replacement is not allowed after the race started.
  2. Total 5 rounds, 3 darts will be given in each round, total 15 darts could be thrown (include hit the grand board successfully or NOT).
  3. Darts must be thrown one at a time by and from a participant’s hand (one hand).
  4. The player's front foot must be in contact with the ground while setting and aiming their darts before the throw.
  5. Participants may lean their upper part of the body over the throw line and throw a dart or darts as long as their toe doesn't cross the front edge of the throw line.
  6. Once the dart is thrown, re-throw is prohibited even that dart is missed, bounced off or fell from the board.
  7. After throwing 15 darts, total score shown on the dart granboard is the final result of this race.

Indoor Rowing Race (1 player)

  1. 1 player game, participant replacement is not allowed after the race started.
  2. Time duration for each race is 5 minutes.
  3. Every participant will be offered 30 seconds to adjust the seat and try on the rowing machine before the race started.
  4. With the flywheels on the rowing machines stopped, participants need to hold the handle and put their feet on the footrests. Race will be commenced after start command is given by onsite staff.
  5. Resistance level (level 4) will be set for all participants, no adjustment is permitted from participants.
  6. After the race finished, the distance (m) shown on the monitor is the final result of this race.

Registration

  • This is a team competition, only team registration is accepted. 4 teammates’ details are required during registration.
  • Participants must study the event rules and regulations carefully. Upon registration submission, all participants are deemed to have accepted all Terms and Conditions of the Event, the rules & regulations as stipulated and also to those that may be later introduced by the Organizer.
  • A confirmation email with payment details from Science Park Clubhouse will be sent to the participants within 2 working days after submitting the online registration form. If participants haven’t received it, please contact us at (852) 6208 5109 / 2639 8733 or by email to: clubhouse@hksciencepark.org.
  • Once the registration is accepted, participants are required to settle the application fee at our Clubhouse reception by the payment deadline mentioned in the confirmation email. If application fee was not received after payment deadline, will be considered withdrawing from the event without prior notice. Application fee is non-refundable and non-transferrable.

Health & Safety Advice

  • Participants are required to wear proper sportswear for the race, the Organiser reserves the right to disallow or disqualify any person who wear unsuitable outfit. 
  • Participants shall be physically fit and have the ability to participate and finish the Event. The Organizer reserves the right to disallow or disqualify any person who is known or is reasonably suspected by the Organizer to be physically unfit to participate in the Event and such person shall accept the decision made the Organizer accordingly.
  • Participants understand and agree that participation in the Event is voluntary and at the own risk of participants. Each participant agrees to absolve the Organizer from any and all liabilities arising from bodily injuries, accidents, death or other losses during or caused by travelling to and from the event venue during in the event or whatsoever reason.

Epidemic Prevention Arrangement

  • Except for the exempted persons, all participants are required to scan the QR code via the “LeaveHomeSafe” Mobile App and present the Vaccine Pass or exemption certificates under the Vaccine Pass arrangement at the event entrance. However, the exempted persons are required to complete the declaration form provided (information collected will be based on the latest requirements set under “Vaccine Pass” and “LeaveHomeSafe” regulations) which will be kept by the Organiser for 31 days.
  • Participants need to pass body temperature screening before entering the venue.
  • Participants are required to wear a mask during the event at all times.
  • Sanitizers will be provided in venue.
  • The person who under compulsory quarantine and their “close contacts” are not allowed to enter the venue.
  • The arrangement will be updated according to the government's epidemic prevention requirements. Please check the latest updates on event website.

Participants’ Obligations

  • Participants grant the Organiser the right to use their names, team names, portraits, pictures, video and any other audiovisual items.
  • The Organiser has the right to ask participants to attend the photo sessions and interviews, and the participants agree to accept such requests.
  • The Organiser reserves the right not to offer prize if participants do not follow the event rules and/or not conduct required acts.
