Eric Ma appointed as Consultant of HKSTP for Hong Kong/Shenzhen Innovation and Technology Park project

(Hong Kong, 1 September 2017) - Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation (“HKSTP”) announced the appointment of Mr Eric Ma as Consultant for the Hong Kong/Shenzhen Innovation and Technology Park (“HK/SZ I&T Park”) project. Eric will lead the overall strategic planning and the design of the master layout blueprint of the project. He will take up his new role on 4 September.

Before joining HKSTP, Eric served in the Hong Kong SAR Government as Secretary for Development. He was responsible for Hong Kong’s overall land development policy covering land use planning, land disposal, building safety and infrastructure construction, urban renewal and heritage conservation.

Mr Albert Wong, Chief Executive Officer of HKSTP, welcomes the appointment. He said: “Eric’s experience in the construction industry over the years and profound professional background will complement his work with the subsidiary company that is going to be set up, in the planning and management of the HK/SZ I&T Park.”

Eric has rich experience in land development and planning. He previously held various senior positions in major infrastructure and construction corporations including Executive Vice President, Civil and Infrastructure, for AECOM Asia Co. Ltd. and Managing Director for Maunsell Consultants Asia Ltd.
