Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation (HKSTP) recently embarked on its Innovation Mixer US West Coast Tour to connect the US and Hong Kong innovation communities and showcase the booming opportunities in Asia. From 16 to 19 January, the HKSTP delegation held a series of events including visits to prestigious academic institutions Stanford University and University of California, Berkeley (UC Berkeley) to explore potential collaborations on incubation, internship and talent programmes.

Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation (HKSTP), Shanghai Pharmaceuticals Holding Co., Ltd. (SPH, 601607.SH, 2607.HK, the core business under Shanghai Industrial Investment (Holdings) Co., Ltd., SIIC) and SPH INNO (a subsidiary of SPH) opened the Hong Kong-Shanghai co-incubator “01LABS@Hong Kong” at Hong Kong Science Park, jointly growing top-notch startups and R&D talent to further accelerate biomedical innovation in Hong Kong and Shanghai.

Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation (HKSTP) successfully completed the first-ever Silicon Valley Elevator Pitch Competition 2024 (EPiC) Region Semi-Final on January 17 and 18, with 20 of the Valley’s finest innovators, out of 127 local applicants, selected to fly to Hong Kong on 26 April 2024 for the EPiC 2024 Grand Finale.

In its latest Innovation Mixer to the West Coast of the US, Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation (HKSTP) organised a dinner reception which attracted around 150 tech professionals from leading enterprises, universities and venture capital firms including Google, Alibaba, Stanford University, UC Berkeley, JP Morgan, US Capital and East West Bank, among others.

Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation (HKSTP) and the Hospital Authority (HA) hosted the “HKSTP x HA Innovation Forum” in end-November 2023 to fuel more collaboration, technology adoption and co-creation between HKSTP Park companies and all services of HA, jointly accelerating the smart hospital development in Hong Kong.
