The programme is now calling for ambitious graduates across the city who are committed to an I&T career to submit applications.

The programme is a signature scheme under the new HKSTP InnoAcademy, whose mission is to boost the competitiveness of Hong Kong’s innovation and technology (I&T) industry. The initiative brings together comprehensive training, on-the-job learning, and other value-added services to nurture young and talented leaders of tomorrow.

Albert Wong, CEO of HKSTP, said: “HKSTP is committed to accelerating the growth of Hong Kong’s innovation and technology through supporting the development of local start-ups and introducing young people to the promising career prospects and rich opportunities in the industry.

Under the current economic environment, we understand the tough challenges the younger generation may face when planning their career. By launching the TLT Programme, HKSTP strives to unleash the potential of young graduates and groom a new generation of outstanding leaders in innovation. The programme will provide a variety of training and placement opportunities to equip them to become a driving force in the future of Hong Kong’s I&T sector.”

Selected talents will undergo an extensive 26-month programme, comprising a 24-month full-time R&D role in one of 11 partner companies, including Cloud Light, Computime, Fano Labs, Huawei, Intact Financial, Lalamove, Lee's Pharmaceutical, Sanomics, SenseTime, TCL and UMEC, where there will be at least one vacancy available with each company.
