Global Acceleration Academy (GAA) is an intensive business acceleration programme spearheaded by HKSTP to connect up-and-coming startups with world-class enterprises and help them localise their innovation and achieve success in the Asian market and beyond.
The programme invites start-ups from around the world to Hong Kong to transform their technologies into practical solutions that have commercial and local value for Asia. Jointly supported by the public sector and industry partners, GAA is driven by market demands. Products and services born out of the programme seek to respond and provide solutions to the various challenges facing the industries and region today.
The programme empowers high-potential startups with a vast network, resources and skills to thrive in the region and partner with world-class industry leaders to bring innovations to real-world marketplace.
Each programme lasts one month or 3 months, kicked off with a gap analysis to align the requirements of each party to ensure an ideal match for the best possible business outcomes.
The three-month programmes feature training, consulting, pitching, immersion trip, and end with a Demo Day where the teams can showcase their achievements to potential investors and business partners.
The one-month programmes offer additional flexibility for overseas start-ups that wish to establish a presence in Asia, particularly in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, an innovation-driven development under China’s development blueprint.
