Dr. Sunny CHAI Ngai Chiu


Dr. Chai assumed the position of Chairman of Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation in July 2018. In the same year, he was awarded the Bronze Bauhinia Star (BBS) by the HKSAR Chief Executive for his outstanding contribution to the promotion of innovation and technology development in Hong Kong, and was conferred a University Fellowship by the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. He received the Young Industrialist Award of Hong Kong in 2004.

Permanent Secretary for Innovation and Technology*

Ms. Annie CHOI Suk Han


Ms Annie CHOI assumed the post of the Permanent Secretary for Innovation and Technology of the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region in July 2019.

Ms CHOI joined the Administrative Service in 1986 and has served in a number of policy bureaux and departments, including the Civil Service Bureau, the Commerce and Economic Development Bureau, the Financial Services and the Treasury Bureau and the Home Affairs Department. She was the Commissioner for Innovation and Technology from August 2015 to July 2019.

Ms CHOI obtained her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Laws as well as Postgraduate Certificate in Laws from the University of Hong Kong. She also did postgraduate studies in Public Administration at Oxford University, UK and Tsinghua University, PRC.

Mr. Chen Shuang, JP, is currently the Founding & Managing Partner of APlus Partners Management Co., Limited.

Mr. Chen graduated from the East China University of Political Science and Law with a Master of Law degree and a Diploma in Legal Studies from the School of Professional and Continuing Education of the University of Hong Kong. He is a qualified lawyer in the People’s Republic of China and a Senior Economist. Mr. Chen has over 27 years of experience in commercial and investment banking.

Venture Partner, Sequoia Capital China Fund

Mr. Herbert CHIA Pun Kok

Herbert is currently Venture Partner of Sequoia Capital China Fund. With over 10 years of experience in data strategy and analytics, he has formed his own unique way of data-thinking and data-management, and has original insights in the future of big data. He has led Alibaba’s data team to make a series of significant achievements in the practical field of big data, including establishing a business and decision-making analytics framework for Alibaba Group’s business groups, developing intelligent data products, creating an operation team which contributes to the datamation of the group, successfully launching the public and proprietary Data Asset Management systems, and releasing the Data Protection Pact and so on.

Herbert was the leader of the Alibaba’s data team in 2014 which was named China’s Best Information Technology Team by Top CIO 2014. He was also rated as one of the Ten Most Influential Big Data Entrepreneurs in China by the State Information Center in 2017.

Mr. Donald CHOI Wun Hing

Donald has worked globally as architect and developer for over 30 years. He is familiar with both public and private projects and believes in the power of design and architecture to empower society. Clients have included Hong Kong Government, Airport Authority, Mass Transit Railway Corporation, Urban Renewal Authority, Public Works Canada, British Columbia Buildings Corporation, NGOs and the private sector.

He is currently the Chief Executive Officer of Chinachem Group. He was the Managing Director of Nan Fung Development and before Nan Fung, Director of Foster and Partners and the Authorised Person – Architect for the Hong Kong International Airport Passenger Terminal (HKIA Silver Medal Winner) and many infrastructure projects at Chek Lap Kok. The airport was awarded the Top Ten Construction Projects in the World and has won numerous awards including the Best Airport in the World since opening in 1998.

Donald lives in Hong Kong and is active in community services. He is a Global Trustee of the Urban Land Institute, Vice President [Local Affairs] of the Hong Kong Institute of Urban Design, Trustee of Rhode Island School of Design, Chief Curator for Hong Kong Exhibition at the 17th Venice Biennale 2021 and Honorary Advisor of the Hong Kong Workers’ Health Centre. He is also a Building Committee Member of the CUHK Medical Centre, Member of the Committee on Building Information Modelling of Construction Industry Council, the Chairperson of the Board of Construction Innovation and Technology Application Centre, a Board Member of the Hong Kong Green Building Council and the Business Environment Council. He had taught at the University of Hong Kong and was the former Chairman of the Architects Registration Board, HKSAR.

Chairman, Clarksdale Investment Limited

Ms. Cordelia CHUNG

Cordelia Chung is Chairman of Clarksdale, an investment and consultancy company. Ms Chung is also senior consultant at Raymond T.Y. Chan, Victoria Chan & Co, a law firm specialized in commercial law. Prior to it, Ms Chung led corporate strategy for LIXIL Corporation, a global manufacturer in building materials.

Ms Chung spent 24 years with IBM. She was the first Asian female executive to serve on IBM Chairman & CEO's Strategy Team, setting global directions. She held senior leadership positions including Regional General Manager for Southeast Asian countries; General Manager for IBM China/Hong Kong Limited and General Counsel for Asia Pacific.

Ms Chung serves on Hong Kong Government Human Resources Planning Commission, Hong Kong Personal Data (Privacy) Advisory Committee, Hong Kong Government Research Grants Council, Singapore University of Technology and Design, Dalian CPPCC, and Maryknoll School Foundation and IMC. Her past services include Hong Kong Polytechnic University Council, Court of Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, and Singapore Government Economic Strategies Committee.

Mr. Kent HO Ching Tak

Kent Ho is the Founder and CEO of S28 Capital - a San Francisco-based venture capital fund with US$170 million under management. The fund focuses on early stage technology companies with a strong emphasis on leveraging data to disrupt and transform traditional industries. Some of his previous investments include: Palantir, Coupang, Evernote,, and Zoom.

Kent is also an Executive Director of Sing Tao News Corporation, which maintains the highest circulation newspaper in Hong Kong as well as a presence in 4 continents.

Kent earned his M.B.A from Stanford Graduate School of Business and his B.A. from Duke University. He is an Honorary Trustee from Peking University. He also sits on multiple boards including Hong Kong Trade Development Council’s Innovation & Technology Advisory Committee, and is an independent non-executive director of Hong Kong listed Grace Wine Holdings Limited.

Kent was selected for the Young Global Leaders by World Economic Forum in 2018.

Mr. Dennis HO Chiu Ping

Dennis is the Partner of PwC.  He has over 26 years extensive experience in providing assurance and transaction-related services as well as in assisting companies in preparing for listing in Hong Kong, Singapore and other stock exchanges.  Dennis is frequently involved in advising and assisting local, mainland-based and multinational companies on corporate restructuring, transactions, mergers and acquisitions. 

Dennis has been promoting the development of accounting profession in Hong Kong.  He was the President of Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants in 2015 and he actively participates in many professional committees and statutory bodies of the Government of HKSAR. He is a member of Insurance Appeals Tribunal, Mandatory Provident Fund Schemes Appeal Board, Steering Committee of Qualification Framework Fund of Education Bureau and a director of Urban Renewal Fund.  He is also appointed by Minister of Finance of the People’s Republic of China as the Advisor of the Government Accounting Standards Committee.

Associate Professor, School of Biomedical Sciences Li Ka Shing Faculty of Medicine The University of Hong Kong

Dr. Stephanie Ma Kwai Yee

Dr Stephanie Ma obtained her B.Sc. (Cell Biology and Genetics) and M.Sc. (Experimental Medicine) degrees from the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, Canada. She then graduated with a Ph.D. degree from The University of Hong Kong with an outstanding ranking and was awarded the Li Ka Shing Prize for the Best PhD Thesis of that year. Since then, she has been working at The University of Hong Kong where she is currently an Associate Professor and Associate Director (Knowledge Exchange and Global) in the School of Biomedical Sciences at the Li Ka Shing Faculty of Medicine. Dr Ma is also a Principal Investigator at the State Key Laboratory of Liver Research. Dr Ma's research interest is on exploiting stemness as a cancer cell vulnerability. According to the ISI Essential Science Indicator, Dr Ma is currently listed as the top 1% of most cited scholars under the category of 'clinical medicine' and 'all fields'. She is also the recipient of the 2008 Young Scientist Award in Life Sciences from the Hong Kong Institution of Science, the 2012-13 Outstanding Young Researcher Award from HKU, the 2014 Croucher Innovation Award, the 2014 Scientific Research Outstanding Achievement Awards (Second-class Award in Science and Technology Section) from the Higher Education Institution of China, the 2017 University of British Columbia Alumni Builder Award (Canada) as well as the 2018 Ton Duc Thang University Scientific Prize - Rising Star Award (Vietnam). Dr Ma is also elected as a Founding Member of the Hong Kong Young Academy of Sciences in which she currently serves as the Chair of their Outreach Committee.

Dr. Kim MAK Kin Wah


Kim is currently President of Caritas Institute of Higher Education and Caritas Bianchi College of Careers, leading the mission towards establishing St. Francis University.  Kim holds the degrees of Ph.D. and M.Phil. from Cambridge University, MBA from City University London, and Bachelor of Engineering (1st Class Honours) from University of Western Australia.  Kim also holds the professional qualifications of Chartered Engineer, Member of the Institution of Civil Engineers, and Member of the Institute of Marine Engineering, Science & Technology.

Kim won the Director of the Year Awards of the Institute of Directors in two consecutive years.   He has a combination of success in establishing strategies and business models for corporations and NGOs, working with government, legislators and the media, and leading major projects in Europe, Australia, Hong Kong and Mainland China.  

Active in community services, Kim has been awarded the Bronze Bauhinia Star, and is a Justice of Peace.

Deputy Chairman, Sino Group

Mr Daryl NG Win Kong


Mr Daryl Ng Win-kong, JP, Deputy Chairman of Sino Group. 

Mr Ng has founded the Hong Kong Innovation Foundation to support Hong Kong’s growth into an international innovation and technology hub.  It comprises educational initiatives like Go Code and OC STEM Lab, the sandbox platform of Sino Inno Lab to facilitate co-creation, provision of co-working spaces for start-ups as well as proprietary innovations like the award-winning City Air Purification System.

Mr Ng is also a Member of the Global Leadership Council of Columbia University, a Member of the 12thand 13th Beijing Municipal Committees of CPPCC, a Member of the Cyberport Advisory Panel, a Member of the Council of the University of Hong Kong, a Member of the Court of Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, and a Member of the Singapore Management University International Advisory Council.

Mr Ng holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and a Master of Science degree in Real Estate Development from Columbia University, and an Honorary Doctor of Humane Letters degree from Savannah College of Art and Design.  He is also an Honorary Fellow of the Open University of Hong Kong.

Chief Executive Officer, Citi Hong Kong and Macau

Ms. Angel NG Yin Yee

Angel Ng has been the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for Citi Hong Kong and Macau since 2018, and is responsible for all the businesses across the Citi franchise in the two markets. Angel is also a member of the Citi Asia Pacific Operating Committee.

Prior to assuming the CEO role, Angel was the Chief Executive and Consumer Business Manager for Citi’s consumer banking operations in Hong Kong. She previously served as the Head of Retail Banking, Wealth Management, and Cards at Citi Hong Kong.

Prior to Citi, she held a number of senior positions at Procter & Gamble and CLP Power Hong Kong. She began her career with HSBC.

Legislative Council Member - Industrial (Second)

Hon Jimmy NG Wing Ka


Honourable Jimmy NG Wing-ka is a member of the 6th Legislative Council who represents the Industrial (Second) Functional Constituency (2016 – 2020) and a legal practitioner. He also serves as a Council Member of the Hong Kong Polytechnic University and Member of Court of the University of Hong Kong.

Besides being the Chairman of Hong Kong-Taiwan Business Co-operation Committee (BCC) and the Chairman of the Passport Appeal Board, HKSAR, Hon. NG serves as a member of the Competition Commission, Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) Election Committee, an observer of the Independent Police Complaints Council (IPCC), as well as a member of the Small and Medium Enterprises Committee (SMEC).

At the same time, Hon. NG is also a member of the Chongqing Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), a council member of the China Peaceful Reunification Promotion Association and an Executive Vice President of the China Association for Promoting the Peaceful Reunification of Hong Kong. He currently serves as an independent non-executive director of Yanchang Petroleum International Limited, MTR Corporation Limited and Glorious Sun Enterprises Limited. Mr. Joseph NGAI


Joe Ngai is currently a Senior Partner and the Managing Partner of McKinsey Greater China. He serves many of the region's leading banks, insurers and conglomerates on business transformation and digitalization. He is the co-author of two editions of “Life Insurance in Asia”, and frequently speaks on financial, management, youth and social enterprise topics.

Joe serves on various Government advisory committees, including the Financial Services Development Council, the Hong Kong Scholarship for Excellence Scheme, and the Financial Infrastructure Sub-Committee of the Hong Kong Monetary Authority.

He is passionate about community service. He is currently the Chairman of DiamondCab, an award-winning social enterprise focusing on barrier-free taxi services, Director of Diocesan Boys' School Foundation, Regional Association President of Phillips Exeter Academy, and previously, President of Harvard Business School Association of Hong Kong.

Joe grew up in Hong Kong, where he studied at Diocesan Boys' School. He received his AB, JD and MBA from Harvard University.

Mr. Gavin POON Ka Ming

Gavin Poon is currently a Medical Advisor at the Novartis Pharmaceuticals (HK) Ltd.  Gavin grew up in Hong Kong, and has extensive experience in the life science industry from commercial to clinical development and medical affairs.

He is keen about the impact of policy making and translational medicine, and has obtained BSc, MPH (Health Economics, Policy and Management) from the University of Hong Kong and MPhil in Experimental Medicine from the University of Cambridge.

Being a digital enthusiast, Gavin loves to study how disruptive technology change industrial practice.  He also serves as a member in the Committee on Innovation, Technology & Re-industrialisation and the Statistics Advisory Board of the Government.

Mr. Denis Tse Tik-yang

Mr. Denis Tse is the Founding Managing Partner of Asia-IO Holdings, a private equity manager specializing in Asia-nexus cross-border direct investment programs.  Denis is previously Head of Private Investments – Asia for corporate pension manager Lockheed Martin Investment Management Company, where he was named “40 under 40” by Chief Investment Officer magazine.  Prior to that Denis had a career in technology venture investing, and was the first Kauffman Fellow from an Asian venture capital firm.  Denis has an honorary bachelor’s degree from Northwestern University and an MBA degree from INSEAD.
