NOTICE
Please note that a new public visit programme to the Hong Kong Science Park will be launched in November 2010. The existing "Open to the Tech Public" (OTTP) programme will continue to operate until 31 October 2010. More information will be announced in due course.
Hong Kong Science Park’s “Open to the Tech-Public" programme (OTTP) aims to boost the interest and increase the knowledge of the general public in the latest technological developments. The public can visit the Hong Kong Science Park on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays. Highlights of the tour include exhibition halls inside the Integrated Circuits Development Centre and the Photonics Centre and the Hong Kong RFID Centre.
How to join:
- Please download and fill out the Group Visit Application Form (for groups over 20 participants)
- Send the completed form by fax to (852) 2629 1833
- Confirmation letter will be issued 2 weeks before the visit date
Remarks: Groups of under 20 participants will be considered as walk-in visitors. Walk-in visitors can simply register and obtain visitor labels at the OTTP counter in the lobby of Core Building 1.
On the day of visit:
Bring along the confirmation letter, register and obtain visitor labels at the OTTP counter in the lobby of Core Building 1 (click here to download the HKSP Map) and enjoy the tour including a short introduction video and visits to various exhibition halls, at your own pace.
Photonics Centre • Learn how photonics applications impact our daily lives e.g. panel displays, light-emitting devices, and optoelectronic sensors
IC Development Centre • Discover the way Integrated Circuit technology is applied in everyday appliances e.g. mobile phones, MP3 players, digital cameras, etc
Hong Kong RFID Centre • Find out how RFID enhances the business environment and improves the quality of our lives (visit by appointment only)

Inclement weather special arrangement
1.Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal No. 3 or above / Rainstorm Red or Black Warning is hoisted
- Tech-Po demonstration will be cancelled.
2. Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal No. 3 or above / Rainstorm Red or Black Warning is cancelled before 12:00 noon
- Tech-Po demonstration in the morning (between 10:00am to 12:00noon) will be cancelled, while demonstration in the afternoon (between 2:00pm to 4:00pm) will resume as normal.
3. Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal No. 3 or above / Rainstorm Red or Black Warning is cancelled after 12:00 noon
- Tech-Po demonstration in the afternoon (between 2:00pm to 4:00pm) will be cancelled.
