Du Pont Apollo Limited (DuPont Apollo) is a wholly owned subsidiary of Du Pont China Limited. By focusing on the development of innovative solar energy solutions, DuPont Apollo consists of a global business center and R&D laboratory in the Hong Kong Science Park, and a manufacturing facility in Guangming New District in Shenzhen, to be in full operation by 2010.
DuPont has been a leading material and technology supplier to the photovoltaic (PV) industry with more than 25 years of experience in PV materials development, applications know-how, manufacturing expertise and global market access. With a vision to eventually replace fossil fuel energy with solar energy, DuPont Apollo supplies not only amorphous silicon (a-Si) thin film photovoltaic modules, but also provides system design integration service.
DuPont Apollo thin film PV investment is the first anchor project under the “Shenzhen-Hong Kong Innovation Circle”, a framework jointly led by HKSAR Government and Shenzhen Municipal Government to promote technology development in the Pearl River Delta region. |
